I hung up the phone, shocked by what Adam had just told me. I couldn't believe that this
was happening. That i***t was really going to reject Amber! I was confused. I thought
that Ruby was going to go and take care of whatever was going on at the Lakeside
pack. If only the Council Leader hadn't demanded my return, then I would have been there to see what had happened for myself. However, as I wasn't, I would need to ask. I dialled a number into the phone, which was still clutched in my hand. After a few rings, I heard Ruby's voice at the other end. "Hello," she answered the call. "Hi there, do you have a moment to chat?" I asked, knowing that she was likely busy with Supernatural Court buisiness. "For you always," she replied cheerily, making me smile a little.
