On the day of the fall career fair, Ethan walked me to campus. The entrance of the career center was packed with company booths and students looking for opportunities. Then I heard a voice that had been buried in my memories for years.

Derek stood there in an unfit suit. His badge identified him as the founder of a startup. He glanced at me, then at Ethan, openly judging him.
"Already found a replacement?" He laughed. "That wolf finally gave up on you and went back to Chloe?"
