Chapter XII

**RJ's POV**

"Good morning class, The weather today is not good so everyone is advise to go home their is a heavy storm and for your safety We have to sent you home" our teacher said

"But Sir how can we go home if the road are flooded and not everyone has a car to go home" Mikha asked

."There's a truck outside to be your service going home and also to make sure you'll go home safe" our teacher replied "So everyone carry your things and form in line to avoid pushing" he added

"Wait! Where's Fean?" Sophia asked fearly while looking at our classmates

.

"Yes, where is Miss Duenas?" our teacher also asked.

"I saw her earlier heading towards the rooftop," Anicka answered.

.

.

"What? And you didn't even tell us!! She hasn't come back since earlier, who knows what happened to her, the lock of the door there was broken!" Sophia angrily retorted as she was about t o go out, but I went out first and headed towards the stairs leading to the rooftop

.I tried to open the door because it wasn't locked, but it wouldn't open. Shortly after, Sophia arrived carrying a metal pipe, I didn't know where she got it but I quickly grabbed it from her hand and hit the door knob with it.

"s**t, she's afraid of thunder and lightning, what if something happened to her," Sophia said, looking worried. Even me was starting to get scared of what might have happened to Fean.

.I hit and hit the door knob and finally, it broke. I quickly opened the door leading out to the rooftop and immediately saw Fean sitting while hugging her knees with her eyes closed and She's pale, shivering from the cold. I quickly lifted her, not minding her weight, and swiftly went down the stairs with Sophia following us.

I brought her to the clinic so that the nurse will give her first aid.

A little later, our adviser also arrived. "Oh my God, what happened to her?" our teacher asked, surprised by Fean's condition.

."You should call the ambulance now, She might suffer hypothermia, Her body temperature is dropping." the nurse announced,“Who has extra clothes she need to change to warm her body" she added

.

.

"I have extra shirt on my bag" I replied.

I always bring an extra t-shirt in my bag because I always change after we finish playing basketball.

I ran quickly to our classroom get my bag and also Fean's bag then go back to the clinic. I give my shirt to the nurse and

I go out first so Sophia can change Fean's clothes.

.A little later, the ambulance arrived. The nurses took Fean and put her on a stretcher to be taken to the hospital. She was also given an IV before being placed in the ambulance. Sophia and I also joined inside the ambulance because our teacher couldn't come with us as she needed to make sure all our classmates got home safely. During the journey, the nurse put oxygen on Fean as her breathing was getting weaker.

.Fean was immediately taken to the ER to be checked by the doctor and to be treated.

A little later her parents arrived. We waited for about 15 minutes and then the doctor get out of the room.

"How's our daughter doc?"her father asked worried

"Mr. and Mrs. Duenas, I'm Dr. Sanchez. Your daughter, Fean, was brought in suffering from hypothermia. It appears she was exposed to prolonged periods of cold and wet conditions, likely from being soaked in the rain for too long. We're currently monitoring her temperature and providing supportive care to help her body warm up. She's stable now, but we'll need to keep her under observation for a few hours to ensure she fully recovers." The doctor replied

After the doctor left we hurriedly enter the room. We found Fean there sleeping.

and she's no longer pale.

.*Fean's POV*

.

I woke up seeing nothing but white and the brightness of the surroundings. Am I dead? I looked around. From what I could see, it seems I am in the hospital. Luckily, I am still alive. I also saw Sophia sleeping on the sofa, she's probably the one who saved me.

Suddenly, the door opened and when I turned, it was RJ.

"You're awake, Eat first to warm your stomach, it's already 8 in the evening. Your parents went home to get your clothes," RJ said. I didn't respond to him but he prepared the soup and fruits he brought.

"Open your mouth so you can eat," RJ said while feeding me the spoonful of soup.

"It's okay, RJ, I can eat on my own," I replied to him.

"You eat, I'll feed you. You're still weak, I'll go home once your parents arrive," RJ replied.

I didn't complain and just ate everything he fed

."Why do you always seem to be surrounded by danger?" she asked, sounding annoyed.

"Well, I didn't know that the typhoon was coming! The school didn't even announce it!" I replied to her, also getting annoyed. It's like she's blaming me for what happened to me.

"I don't want to eat anymore, and you're lecturing me!" I said irritably to him.

"Fine, do whatever you want, you seem fine anyway. I'm going home!" he replied, then suddenly left the room. Sophia was startled by RJ's sudden closing of the door.

"What happened there?" Sophia asked.

"I don't know with him, it's like he's blaming me for what happened to me. In fact, he's also the reason why I was on the rooftop," I replied to Sophia.

"Why were you there in the first place?" she asked again.

.

"Because RJ was avoiding me and moved next to Mikha! He's probably avoiding me because I confessed to him that I like him," I answered Sophia.

"So you were on the rooftop because you were sulking over RJ?" she asked again.

.

"Yes, and he looks so happy when he's with Mikha," I replied to Sophia, almost in tears.

"What's wrong, girl, don't cry there. Your Knight in Shining Armor saved you," Sophia replied.

"Who?" I asked.

.

"Who else none other than RJ, your love. He didn't leave until you woke up. And do you know he carried you from the rooftop to the clinic? He's so sweet, right?" Sophia revealed.

"Really? That's why he's here. I even scolded him earlier, I should have just thanked him," I said, feeling guilty about how I treated him earlier.

"Yes, you should really thank him because this is the second time," Sophia replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked, puzzled.

.

"Don't tell me you don't know? Oh, you're so ignorant. Don't you know RJ also saved you on your birthday, and wait! He even performed CPR on you,He even pushed the lifeguard aside when the lifeguard about to perform CPR on you.. Hahahha" Sophia answered, leaving me stunned.

"So RJ is my first kiss and not the lifeguard?" I replied happily

"Ahuh" Sophia answered

Then The door opened and it spit out my parents who were worried about me and asked me a lot of questions.
