Chapter Eleven
Natalie enters the main reception at the once famous Ealing film studios that had seen better days. She was there to attend an audition for a film remake of ‘Summertime’, the original of which starred Judy Hutchinson. “Yes, Miss, can I help you?” says the Australian sounding redheaded receptionist. Natalie replies, “Yes, my name is Natalie French. I’ve come for the audition for ’Summertime’. Sorry, I’m a bit late, I had a nightmare bus journey, the traffic was terrible today.”
The receptionist gives her the bad news, “I’m sorry Miss French but they finished casting all of the main female roles half an hour ago.
