Chapter Twenty
A portly and balding Chief Inspector Harry Forbes of New Scotland Yard has been assigned the case now dubbed 'The new the Jack the Ripper murders'. He is discussing it with his second in command Detective Sergeant Duncan James who looked like a rough and ready refugee from the flying squad.
Forbes looks at a newspaper on his desk and speaks with despair. “Yet another prostitute murdered. The streets aren’t safe anymore and I’m getting pressure from above to catch this madman ASAP.” James is more dismissive “But they’re only Prosi’s. They won’t be missed.” Forbes puts him straight “That’s where you’re wrong sergeant. Do you know how many people in positions of influence use these girls? Prostitutes are threatening to go on strike and it's no exaggeration to say these girls
