Nova's POV
My eyes opened. Heavy footsteps thumped against the wooden floorboards. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyelids. Three maids moved around my room. They opened drawers and folded my clothes at lightning speed.
One maid stood near the foot of my bed. She held a black dress with long sleeves. A cute black bow rested just below the corset string lines.
"It is morning, miss. You should shower." The maid draped the dress over a chair.
I threw the blankets off my legs. "What is going on?"
"Master Jax ordered we move to the next safe house immediately."
"What is wrong with this one?" I asked, though my brain already supplied the answer. The hunters and rogues found us yesterday. We were not safe here anymore. I held up my hand before she could respond. "Don't answer that."
