Jax’s POV The trigger clicked, and the shot rang out inside the confined space of the hallway. The bullet made an entry hole straight into the body of the mercenary. His armored legs hit the tile floor loudly as his feet collided with it. Blood came gushing out of his body through the circular hole. I let go of my gun. Jordan turned the corner; his boot heels were crunching on the broken glass. “We secured the perimeter, but more are coming up the mountain road in their vehicles.” My teeth clenched tightly together. It was impossible to locate the coordinates of the safe house. They were not supposed to have access to them. I turned my head towards the stairs. Nova.
