Chapter 86

1058 Words

Vandar's POV The chains keeping me within Jax's mind broke the instant that his power ran out. All that time trapped in the darkness had made me mad, vengeful and petty. Jax was always cautious, weighing things through that stubborn heart of his whenever it involved Nova's wellbeing. I had hoped on his feelings to wreck him. Each time he delayed, trying to be perfect for Nova. I stretched in my new body, controlling all the muscles and bones of the human vessel. It belonged to me alone. I opened my eyes in the shadowy interrogation room. I could hear the metal bed squeak from the pressure of sitting up on it. The straps on my wrists and legs tore apart easily. Elias stood not too far from me with that machete in his hands, his expression going from surprise to horror in seconds.
