Jax's POV
My body dropped to my knees, a gush of air claiming every inch of my body and I heard Nova scream. “Jax!”
I turned my head, and saw her running towards me. I smiled. I was back. My vision turned blurry and I breathed out soft words, failing to call out her name and the rest of my body hit the floor hard.
My eyes closed just before she touched me and then darkness.

My eyes fluttered open and I pushed my body up from my bed. My chest ached a lot as I breathed. I turned my head and saw Nova. She was seated on the chair, asleep. Her head rested under her arm on the bed.
She looked worn out. I reached for her, stopping my hands in the air cautiously then slowly brought it down to her face.
