ESTELLE’S POV
Bang!
I jolted awake, breathing heavily as my heart raced. I’d had that nightmare again—the one where I relived the lapses of memory when my mother had tried to kill me.
The gunshot had felt so real, my eardrums still ringing from it.
As I looked around me, I remembered I wasn’t in my room and Adonis’s. I glanced to where he had slept but he wasn’t there.
Where did he go to?
A sudden urge to pee gripped me as I got down from the bed. Quickly, I headed to the bathroom. The moment I opened the door, I froze as my eyes went wide in shock.
Adonis was in the shower… completely naked.
My brain seemed to short-circuit as my eyes drifted down to his body, taking in the glorious sight of this man’s backside. And it was a glorious indeed.
