Elena POV
I stared at the small black device in Adrian's hand and felt my stomach drop because someone had been in this room and attached that thing to his bed frame.
"Someone has been monitoring us," Adrian said. "Listening to everything we've said in this room."
"Who would do this?" I asked and my voice came out shaky. "Who would bug your hospital room?"
Adrian turned to look at the door where Dr. Shah had just left and his expression was dark. "Him, it has to be him."
"Dr. Shah?" I looked at the device again. "You think he planted this?"
"He was alone in here for a few minutes when you stepped out to take a call, remember?" Adrian stared at the bug. "And he knew things, details about my recovery that he shouldn't have known."
"But he just visited today for the first time," I said
