Everyone stood in silence and confusion to what had just happened, Alex shooting was also unexpected. He explained that he followed Valerie all the way to the human world knowing there was trouble.
Alex also explained, he just shot them out of instinct. He felt they were running away from there crimes and felt the need to hold them back from running.
