Sahil opened the briefcase which was kept on the table. A number of packets of drugs were kept inside.
Jeet said, "This consignment has to be delivered to Suleiman by evening."
Jeet closed the briefcase.
He said, "I bailed you out, only because I wanted you to deliver package to Suleiman's gang on behalf of me, not to sleep with a girl without condom and impregnate her."
"What now?"
Jeet kept his hands on his hips, thinking.
He asked, "Do you have cylinder in the kitchen?"
Adil (in his late twenties) sat on the ground inside the prison. A constable came before the prison and unlocked the cell.
"Adil, stand up, you have been bailed out."
He stood up. He walked out of the cell.
"Who bailed me?"
He walked out of through the gate. Jeet stood by his car. Jeet sat on the driver's seat, driving. Adil sat on the passenger seat.
He asked, "Sir, aren't you going to encounter me? Sir, please tell me. I am scared."
"No. Just sit, and don't talk."
Jeet walked upstairs followed by Adil. Jeet rang the doorbell. Sahil opened the door. Jeet pushed Adil in and shot him on his legs twice. Adil groaned.
"Tie him up."
Adil lay on the ground with his limbs tied with a rope. Jeet opened the regulator of a cylinder which was kept beside him. He kept mumbling.
"Stop mumbling, you moron."
Jeet drove his car off. Sahil sat beside him. The cylinder exploded.
Jeet said, "I'll give you an address, it's a village. Stay there and don't try to contact anyone. I'll call you back in the town once everything cools down."
"Okay."
Present Day, Jeet still sat on his knees.
He said, "Everyone thought Sahil was dead. The case was closed."
Abhinav said, "And your department got a praise from the public, they thought the accident was a part of your encounter, but you were just betraying the public."
A car arrived. Suvinder opened the door and stepped off the car. He came forward.
"Suvinder is my childhood friend, although he is five years older than me, but we used to play football together."
Suvinder looked at Jeet.
"Inspector Jeet?"
Jeet cried, "I am sorry Mr. Grewal, I was constrained by circumstances. I didn't want to do it."
Abhinav said, "It is called corruption in simple words."
Sahil said, "How did you come to know about me?"
"It wouldn't have happened if I didn't visit the newly inaugurated ice cream parlour which built beside your showroom. The moment I came out of the parlour I spotted you. When I first saw you I thought it was a mistake. I passed by the showroom multiple times just to confirm whether it was you. Seeing you alive boiled my blood and that's when I planned the whole thing. You love to test drive and that's I decided to take you to a test drive."
Mahira gave her gun to Suvinder. He pointed the gun at Jeet.
"Please, forgive me, I have kids," Jeet pleaded.
"I too had a daughter."
He pulled the trigger and shot him dead. He looked at Sahil.
Abhinav said, "I have a special treatment for him."
Abhinav opened the door and took out a can filled with kerosene oil.
"Sahil, pull down your pants."
"What?"
"Do as I say? Pull your pants down."
Mahira kneeled down and pulled his pants down. She held his hands.
"What are you going to do?"
Sahil tried to get rid of her. Abhinav pulled Sahil's underwear and poured kerosene oil inside the garment. He took out a matchbox.
"Suvinder, lit the matchbox. You know what you have to do."
Suvinder came forward. He gave the gun to him and took the matchbox. He took out a matchstick. He rubbed it through the box and lit it up. Mahira stepped back. He threw the matchstick upon him. His genitals started burning. He screamed. The three people kept watching him, suffering. He fell on the ground and died after suffering the burn.
Abhinav came to Suvinder and hugged him. The latter cried. Abhinav turned to Mahira.
"Thank you, thank you again."
She nodded.
A week ago, when Suvinder sat on the park bench holding Sanjana's photo in hand he felt a palm on his shoulder. He lifted up his head. It was Abhinav who stood there. He sat beside him.
Abhinav said, "What would you do if I bring the person before you who did wrong to Sanjana?"
"I'll burn his private parts and will see him suffer."
"Are you sure? Won't you step back if I actually do so?"
Suvinder shook his head.
"No mercy."
Abhinav nodded.
"No mercy. I'll call you after a week, you should remember what you said."
Present day, Suvinder drove his car away, still carrying the tears of grief in his eyes.
