I kept waking up throughout the night to check if Dawn was next to me, hoping it was all a terrible nightmare that she left. I had to force myself out of bed in the morning. I could make everything right today, we still both had to help out in the dining hall and serve the meals. If I needed to never speak to Emma again I’d do just that.
Even though Emma is the best friend I’ve ever made. She listens and understands so much about me. She has dreams of traveling too, I’ve told her so many stories of when I’d travel. We’re both nari so we can relate to each other so much that the only other person I could relate to more is my sister.
