CHAPTER 1

I was walking, waiting my boyfriend Jacob, he asks me to met him in our favorite place—the cafe. As soon as i spot him, i raised my hand so that he can notice me

“What’s up?” he asks, sitting right beside me.

“Doing good, you?” I answered, smiling.

Jacob was my first love, my first kiss, and my first in everything--err but not that thing.

“Fine” he shortly replied. I notice the two bags on his eyes, he look tired. He’s also pale.

I cupped his faced to make him look at me. “Are you okay?” I ask him, worried.

But then he did the unexpected, he removes my hand off him and stand up. “I am not here to flirt with you” he said. My forehead puckered.

Is he here to propose to me? I giggled at that thought, him kneeling infront of me with a red velvet box and diamond ring, how sweet isn’t it?

“The thing is...” he stop for a while. He gulped. “C’mon tell me I won’t bite you, ya’know” i said and chuckle.

“I call you here to officially break up with you.” Jacob spoke not looking at my eyes.

“Pardon?” I asks while looking at him.

She laughs as if like she doesn’t hears it right. “Stop joking jacob, will you?”

She laugh again, but when she met jacob’s silver eyes, she knew she wasn’t joking. Her laughs died soon. She was fighting back her tears. “Why?” Celestine managed to ask him a question, even if she’s not ready for his answer.

Silly me, managed to ask jacob a question yet afraid to know his answers? she thought.

“I—look i don’t want to hurt you” he answer calmly, as if he was not affected.

Her chest tightened. Tears roll down her cheeks. “You’re already hurting me...” she shakily mumbled.

Celestine’s amber orbs lock gazes with Jacob’s silver eyes. “You said, you won’t leave me...”

He gulped. “We’re just dumb kid back then‚ Cel grow up.” She felt like she’s been stabbed by thousand knives, it hurts‚ it really is.

“You... you’ve changed” she whined.

“Everybody does changed and everythings keep changing so its our time to change too without holding each other’s hand” With that he left.

I was left there alone, unable to speak, unable to move. My eyes flooded with tears. I watch him leave me there.

Is this really the end?

“CELESTINE, why won’t you try to get yourself a boyfriend?” Arya asks.

She were in Sandy’s house, together with Arya‚ Kayleigh, and ofcourse Sandy. They were her friend since college and now, doing the things they all like. Event Organizing.

“I don’t have time for that, you know there’s a lot of work” She answered.

Lei smirks playfully. “You don’t have time or you still don’t move on with Jacob?” She inquired.

“Come on, tine you two broke up ages ago” Sandy joined.

She sighed. “I move on really but love or whatever it is i’m just not ready for it and no one asks me out yet” she spoke.

“Whatever” they said in unison.

“But i bet you will be the next to get a boyfie” Arya wiggle her eyebrows.

“Oh come on arya, don’t tag me with that curse of yours” It might be weird or what but seems like Arya, is a living witch. Not exactly witch, it’s like she possessed some powers to know who will be our future or what will happen and she can guess what we think.

That happen with Sandy years ago, she guess that sandy will be the first one to have a boyfriend and several months passed, her guess comes true. Now, sandy was engage with his soon to be husband, Liam.

“Hey, take that back! It’s not a curse, i just guessed it!” She defended.

“Yeah right! guess, guess guess” i mumbled

We talk, play and do anything else we want until we decided to go back home.

THE following day, she was on the lounge of their store. She look at their pictures back when they were in the last year of College. That’s the day where all of them graduate. They have different course yet here they are, managing a small business of what they like, event organizing.

Arya graduated BS Architecture though she has also a fashion for designing, Lei graduated BS Accountancy in New York, Sandy graduated BS Computer Engineering while she graduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management or BSBA major in FM.

After lei’s comeback they decided to pursue their dream to have a shop. They decided to named it Royale Events.

After a while, the girls are still not there. She checked her phone only to see their messages. Sandy weren’t here till sunday because they were checking the venue of her wedding.

Leigh was busy meeting and talking to other clients while arya chatted her saying she’ll be late for a while because of the damn traffic. She sighed.

Then suddenly, her phone rang, it’s an unknown number. Celestine hesitated to answer but later on she click the green button.

“Hello, Tine speaking may i ask who is this?”

“Oh, i should’ve inform you on text. By the way, this is Sheng Liu. Sorry to call suddenly but are you open for engagement party, it’s for my boss and her fiance?” Ms. Liu inquired.

“Oh, we are ms.” tine responded, she immediately get a paper and pen. “Can i have an exact details ms? Do you know when will it be holding or do you have specific details right now?”

“Actually, my boss didn’t said anything, he just said it might hold 3 months from now and no, they don’t” she answered.

She sigh. “Can i have an appointment with your boss? To plan everything, 3 months from now will be very rush”

“Is that so? Wait i’ll check his schedule to see when will he be available and sorry if i just called recently please don’t hang up yet it will just take a couple of minutes” she answered, tine just hummed waiting for sheng to answer.

“Luckily, Mr. Elizalde was available tomorrow 5:00 in the afternoon, you okay with that ms. Tine?” the girl on the other line said, tine takes down the info before she answered.

“Yeah it is, thankyou if ever there something happens call me” she said.

“Sure thing ms. Tine, thanks for your time, i’ll hang up now” Ms. Sheng answered before the maiden hang up.

She sighed. She look around the house only to find Arya, looking at her with a wide grin. She rolled her eyes.

“Who was that?” She asks with teasing tone.

I raised my sticky note. “Client” I simply answered.

She shrugged. “If you say so”

THE NEXT DAY, I was getting ready for the appointment with Mr. Elizalde when Lei suddenly barged in at my office.

“Hey, going to a date?” she wiggled her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes at her.

“Meeting a client” I muttered while combing my hair using my fingers.

“Is it a woman?” I shook my head, her eyes widened.

“Oh my god, maybe it was your soulmate—eww, I don’t want to be a mistress Kayleigh” I cut her off.

“I only said ‘maybe’ i didn’t think you will actually take it seriously” She grin mischievously.

“Whatever” i rolled my eyes for the second time. “I’m off, tell arya and sandy i will meet our client” I said as i stroll off my office.

I arrived just in time. Good thing that it was tuesday, it wasn’t that traffic. She go inside the cafe while looking around.

There, he saw a well-built man, heads bowed while using his phone. She immediately make a way towards the man and when she was infront. “Mr. Elizalde?”

He raised his head. My eyes widened. “That’s me” Holy f**k.
