Chapter 66
"What are you doing here?" Elliot asked after opening the front door of their house for Zayne. His eyes scanned the older guy's outfit and he barely held himself from asking if Zayne was okay. He cleared his throat.
"I was... I was just gonna ask if you're okay." Zayne was more than relieved seeing Elliot in one piece but what was he expecting? Or more precisely, what was he scared of?
After hearing the scream on the phone, his first thought was to see Elliot personally before yelling or choking his sister for whatever happened to Elliot.
"I'm fine," Elliot answered. He was befuddled at Zayne's question. "Um.. it's almost midnight. You should go back home."
"Elliot?" Elliot's mother who came downstairs to get some water, found him standing at the door. "Who's in there?"
