When Adere did this Mori was shocked but Adere was not, infact he was prepared for whatever it was that Mori was going to bring before him..He was not ready to keep being a dummy and allowing a lady to continue to do whatever she liked with him. "Do not dare raise your hand against my face again or any other part of my body. I am not going to take it easy with you if you try it again" she tried to walk away and Mori who already regained herself, knowing that she actually offended him and needed to ask for his forgiveness said, "It's alight, I am sorry! listen I am so very sorry for whatever it is that I did to you. I promise I am not going to continue to do that. All that you need to do for me right now is to continue to lay your hands on the very thing that makes sense to us. Do not go about making it look like we are evil down here" "Is this not what all this is about? You refuse to listen to me or to hear me out. All you want to do is to do what your minds tells you without knowing what my mind and my heart tells me. I am not going to tolerate being bullied by you any longer and if you do not want yourself to be the first woman that I hit then mind you and do not try to raise your hand against me once again" He then sighed and added, "You said that I need to have a word with your father. I am here already, do whatever you have to do so that I will have to sit with him. You know that I am still with so many questions which I must ask and I mean that I am going to ask those questions. All I want you to do for me is to help me by bringing forward what it you want to bring forward. I am not going to allow you to continue to do that. Tell me what I have to do now and you will see me doing them" Mori sighed and said, "Very well. Like I told you I am going to go inside to meet with my very old father. I call him father but actually he is my grand father and the son that he gave birth to who gave birth to me is no longer alive. I am going to come out after I must have announced your presence to him and then I will take you to him to sit and discuss with him. Mind you that I am not going to allow you to be the reason that I loose myself" Adere nodded without a word and the lady entered the hut. Shortly she returned and said to him, "You can now follow me" Adere followed her and they walked into the hut. While in there Adere could see that the man was very old; the man that Mori refered to as her grandfather..He sat down under invitation and then cleared his throat. He did not know what to say but already he was following the instructions of Mori who had initially told him that he was not going to say anything unless spoken to. He kept quite and waited for the old man to say something. The old man looked his way but it seemed he was already too blind to see anyone. At that moment Adere decided to kneel so that he would closer to the elder. The man then took out his hand from his cloth where he had been hiding them and began to look for Adere's face with it. Adere noticing that the old man was searching for his face brought his face closer that his hand may touch it. The man on realising that his hand had located Adere's face began to caraes it. He kept on rubbing it until Adere spoke, "I am honored to be kneeling before you great grand pa. I know that you are old enough to give birth to a man that can give birth to my late father" The man sighed and said, "I sense humility and I smell life. He is life my daughter, the life that will be used to save those that are nearing death from dying. Young man, you spoke of your father who died, I knew him, his name was Adere and he was from the land of Zinu" On hearing this Mori's jaw fell open for she was made to hear the same name Adere mentioned in the mouth of her grand father. She did not know what to do but then she decided to pay much more attention. "I knew your father before he died. Your father was the son of a man that I was older than with twenty years. Now you can know that I have the age enough to be your great great grand father. You have what it takes also to be my great great grand son but is that why we are here today? No, you have not come here that we may discuss about your fathers whose aim was only to bring you forth here on earth because all of them were witnessers of the very thing that destroyed mankind three thousand years back. They grew to continue to hear the stories of the Ancient Beast and they told their children just the same way their fathers told them; but not exactly same way for the Ancient Beast known for his anger and his thirst for blood waged war on mankind during their times. I can not begin to tell you these things. I am no more but you and Mori are still alive. She is the one bringing you here for this training just the same way he brought you to this land all the way from the palace of the one marked as the evil one. You see my son, there are many things that are buried in the ground and these things that are buried can be so disastrous and can also begin to function immediately you realise your full potential" The words of the old man really baffled Mori who stood there with her hands crossed and alot in her mind. She still could not understand how her grand father knew alot. It could only mean that Adere had been right with all that he had been saying to her. She looked at him and both of their eyes met and she removed them immediately. Adere then sat down after the old man had paused from his speech. When he had taken his seat he said to the old man, "Father my heart has known peace because I am here in your presence. I had thought I was going mad because I know from where I come from and I know of what I discussed last and with whom I discussed it with before finding myself here. Your grand daughter here knows much about me and she is the one that is confused about me which actually makes me myself confused. The person that I expected to be confused was you great grand pa and not your grand daughter who knelt with me inside the chamber of the one called the king of Abah. I left my life there. Whatever I am doing here to me is in line with what I have been made to accomplish in the lives of the people of the world where I come from. All I want to do now Papa is to get back to my former life. I need to return there because I know that my mother would be very much worried by now and she would be looking for a way to bring me back" The old man chuckled and said, "Stop thinking about your mother because it is irrelevant to do so. Your mother having played her role well by playing into the divine plan of the gods of the land of Zinu who have not yet given up on the land has to get off your mind if you will be able to get yourself through this training which you have come here to undergo. If you are ready for it all you have to do is to tell me that you are read. For now I am going to have to leave you with my daughter, you will have to listen to her and to my daughter you will have to also listen to him; he is not some random person that deserves illtreatment from you instead allow him to explain things that you do not know..You will not be hearing it for the second time the things that he might tell you which is why you will have to pay attention to all that he is going to tell you with all humility. Both of you can now go outside" The old man stopped speaking and then laid on his back and closed his eyes. Adere looked at the goatskin on which he laid on and then took his eyes to where Mori was standing but Mori took her eyes off immediately. Adere did not say another word as he stood up and walked outside. Mori attended to her grand father before going outside at meet with Adere. Adere saw her coming out and refused to look her way. When Mori was close to him she said, "I think you have to be patient with me in making me to see what you are seeing" "Were you patient with me when you had to slap me and was already almost about to slap me the second time. Your father has calmed me down with his knowledge of my personality and I thank the gods that after all you will be able to see me in the light in which I have been trying to see me from. I thank the gods that your father intervened because it could have been recorded for me that i hit a woman which is not a good example of a man in my position" He sniffed and looked up int the sky. "Why are you staring up?" asked Mori. "The gathering clouds reminds me of what the king of Abah said to me while I was seated with him in his palace. He had said that the ancient beast attacked the people of Abah mostly when the rain fell. I want to ask then, does the ancient beast which your grand father spoke about attack the people of Ameri?" asked Adere and the lady kept looking at him, wondering if what he had just asked was what he intended to ask.
