Dirty Mind

Jiyya stared at her friend in horror, while Silvana merely grinned shamelessly instead of showing even the slightest hint of guilt. Her mouth hung open for a moment before she managed to find her voice. At times like this, Jiyya truly questioned Silvana’s sense of morality, and even more, she questioned how she had managed to remain friends for so many years with someone whose regard for tradition and propriety seemed practically nonexistent. “What’s with that expression? You’re so easy to read, it’s like reading an open book,” Silvana said again. “You really are shameless, Silvana!” Jiyya shot back harshly. Silvana only laughed. “There’s no need to get so worked up. Relax, darling, calm down.” “How am I supposed to stay calm? I mean, how could you just do something like that?” Jiyya pressed a hand to her forehead. Meanwhile, Silvana simply giggled at all the reactions her friend was displaying, as she always did whenever topics like this came up. Silvana shrugged and casually tossed her hair, looking entirely too proud of something that, in truth, was hardly a conventional accomplishment. “I just did it because I felt the opportunity was there,” she replied simply. Then she looked at Jiyya with bright, sparkling eyes. “It was the hottest experience I’ve ever had, Jiyya. You should have been there to see his face when I was—” “Ah, stop!” Jiyya interrupted with a loud cry, squeezing her eyes shut and covering both her ears with her hands. “I do not want to hear anything about Sir Leon’s expression while you were with him. There are some things we absolutely do not need to share.” “Why not?” Silvana whined, trying to pull Jiyya’s hands away from her ears. “You just asked how it happened. I only wanted to provide a few details. You have to hear this, Jiyya. You need to know just how incredibly sexy Sir Leon was.” Suddenly, Jiyya lowered her defenses and looked at Silvana with an expression of utmost seriousness, as though she were about to discuss something of great importance. She took a deep breath before speaking. “So...” she murmured. “Did you really... I mean, did you actually go all the way?” Silvana’s eyes widened in disbelief that Jiyya had asked such a question, but a second later, her expression shifted into one of complete satisfaction. “No, we didn’t go as far as you’re imagining. I wanted to, but I don’t think Sir Leon was ready for that. Let’s just say I gave him a very memorable experience.” “Eww... that’s disgusting.” “No, it’s perfectly normal. Intimacy is meant to be mutually satisfying. You can’t be selfish in a physical relationship. That’s an unbreakable rule. Besides, I was rewarded quite well in return. You know, Sir Leon’s fingers are absolutely incredible. He nearly drove me mad with just a touch. I told you before, older men are more experienced.” She paused, then suddenly shifted the subject, flashing Jiyya a sly grin. Though Jiyya appeared uninterested, Silvana knew she was listening to every word. “Speaking of which... what about you and Sir Joan? Any progress last night?” Jiyya immediately stiffened, vehemently rejecting whatever conclusions Silvana was already drawing. “I was not alone with him. Dean was there too!” she blurted out impatiently. Yet the unusually intense way she reacted only convinced Silvana even more that something had indeed happened the night before. “But you know, I did something incredibly embarrassing,” Jiyya admitted in a tiny voice. Silvana instantly changed both her expression and her posture. Resting her chin on both hands, she made it abundantly clear just how intently she was listening. She was clearly anticipating something interesting. “What exactly did you do?” she asked. “First of all, let me make one thing clear. I did not do anything inappropriate like you did, okay?” Jiyya hurried to establish before beginning her story. Silvana sighed dramatically in disappointment. “You’re always such a disappointment, Jiyya.” “Just listen. Last night... I... um... I told Sir Joan that I’m still a virgin. I even told him about how you said I should sleep with him. I was completely out of my mind, Silvana. I want to bury myself alive. How am I supposed to face Sir Joan now after saying something like that? Ugh, it’s so embarrassing,” Jiyya groaned, covering her face with both hands. Silvana could practically see the overwhelming embarrassment radiating from her. Even her ears had turned bright red. Silvana burst into laughter. “I’m quite sure the interactions between you two are going to be very entertaining in the future.” “You really are insufferable. But Silvana, I just realized that Sir Joan is actually a very open and honest person. He’s a lot like you, only... far more respectable.” “Hey, what do you mean by that?” Silvana interrupted. Although Jiyya could be quite sharp-tongued at times, Silvana never took those biting remarks to heart. “Oh, but wait... Oh my God!” She stared intently at Jiyya’s face before breaking into a grin. “That means he said he wants to f**k you, doesn’t it?!” Silvana’s voice rang out so loudly, rising several octaves, that all of Jiyya’s neighbors could probably hear her. Jiyya quickly clapped a hand over Silvana’s mouth. She always had to stay on guard around that girl, especially in situations like this. “Shh, you’re so loud! Could you lower your voice? You’re really embarrassing me!” Silvana tried to struggle free, but Jiyya was not about to let her go so easily. She knew exactly how Silvana could be whenever she was in one of her mischievous moods. “Will you behave if I let you go?” Silvana nodded. “Then act like a civilized human being,” Jiyya said. Silvana nodded again. Feeling that Silvana had finally calmed down, Jiyya removed her hand from her mouth. “So, my guess was right, wasn’t it?” “No!” Jiyya argued. Her face turned red again, and although her shy expression had already given Silvana all the answer she needed, she decided to let Jiyya protest for a while. “He didn’t do anything to me. But... he did say that he wanted to have s*x with me.” I knew it, Silvana thought triumphantly. She had suspected from the very beginning that Sir Joan felt something more for her friend. That was exactly why she had kept nudging Jiyya, hoping she would realize that there were far better and nobler men out there than Bastien, whom Silvana considered a first-class loser. Jiyya was far too good for someone like him, and Silvana wanted to save her from the one-sided love she had clung to for far too many years. “Well, that’s wonderful, isn’t it? I feel like a hero now that my best friend is finally one step closer to finding her soulmate. My plan to make you realize it worked even better than I expected,” she replied. Silvana even whistled as she waggled her eyebrows at Jiyya. “I think you’ll have him soon enough. Spending one night with him might open up entirely new horizons in your life.” Jiyya’s face grew even redder. Silvana was convinced that a glass of water could boil if placed on top of her head. Teasing Jiyya was simply that enjoyable. “No! That will never happen!” Jiyya cried. Then she glanced anxiously in every direction, as though Sir Joan might suddenly appear at her house and overhear their conversation. She was slightly traumatized by discussions like this, especially after something similar had once happened on campus. “I’m sure he was only joking. He couldn’t possibly have been serious. Besides, I was drunk at the time. People who rarely drink tend to say foolish things when they’re intoxicated.” Silvana said nothing. She merely stuck out her tongue at Jiyya and flashed her a mischievous grin. The sight of it instantly opened a pit of worry in Jiyya’s stomach. “Don’t tell me you actually think Sir Joan was serious?” Jiyya squeaked. Silvana chuckled softly and looked at her friend with surprising wisdom. Seeing that expression on Silvana’s face only made Jiyya more anxious to hear what she would say. “Jiyya, I’ve been the one taking care of you when you were drunk more times than I can count. In fact, I was the first person who ever led you into drinking. I know exactly what you’re like when you’re intoxicated,” Silvana said lightly. Jiyya bit her lower lip. “You don’t say foolish things when you’re drunk. You simply become honest about yourself. When you’re sober, you’re always trying to hide your feelings. I’d bet that, deep down, you were tempted to do it right then and there. And I’m also sure that Sir Joan was serious. He was simply trying to be a gentleman by not taking advantage of your condition last night,” Silvana added, leaving Jiyya silent as she reconsidered her friend’s words. “And that’s another point in favor of a very sexy man.” Jiyya grew even more frustrated, to the point of tugging at her own hair. “Oh God!” she groaned. “How am I supposed to face him the next time I see him? I honestly have no idea what to do.” “There’s no need to worry about facing him,” Silvana said casually. “Just let him take charge from behind,” she joked again, making Jiyya furious enough to want to scratch her face off, though she would never actually do it. “I’m serious! You really are the icon of reckless romance. Your mind is always filthy.” Silvana only burst into laughter at the sight of her utterly desperate friend. Jiyya was so frustrated that she ended up banging her forehead lightly against the dining table. What else could it mean? Wasn’t it obvious that the two of them were meant to be? Secretly, Silvana felt a little envious of how smoothly things seemed to be progressing between Jiyya and Sir Joan compared to her own relationship.
