Mayor Denies Yuletide Quadrant Funding
This year’s request from the four quadrants for funding to decorate the city next month for Yuletide has been denied.
Hart quadrant merchant Mr. Spotter King, president of the Bridges Merchants’ Society, told this reporter, “These funds hire cutters to trim the Hedge for yew and holly, as well as artists to craft our Yuletide decor. We’ve received no word as to why the funding request has been rejected.”
A source in the Mayor’s office quoted the Mayor as saying, “Let them get the money from those scoundrels, if they need it so badly.”
