Chapter Three 

It was late and Liam was sleep. The s*x always wears him out but me I could go for hours, but I let him sleep.

She said as the phone clicked. That girl better not be late. I don't know why I couldn't sleep. Instead I went on YouTube and looked up boxing videos. I don't wanna embarrass myself, I atleast wanna look like I know what I'm doing. Or maybe I was just using that as an excuse, really since the night of my assault I haven't slept right. I looked back at Liam, I love him but I just didn't feel safe around him. Stupid I know... especially considering he was the one that saved me that night.

Now it's 4 am. I've watched all the boxing videos my brain could handle and I still wasn't tired. I made a smoothie and I went for a jog. I jogged about .2 miles before I ran out of breath.. damn I'm out of shape. I pushed myself to do at least a mile and went back home. I changed into a sexier workout outfit. Tight black and whit spandex and a Victoria secret sports bra that boosted my boobs up just enough.

He said rolling his eyes.

We got in my car and Inside by Jacques was playing.

She yelled while my car window was rolled down.

Then I laughed at her.

I said pulling into the parking lot.

She rolled her eyes and got out of the car. She followed me into the gym and I waved at West then he started walking in our direction.

West. You decided to come back and brought a friend I see, I'm West I own the gym

West. Damien is already in the class, I see you two are already dressed and ready to go, so I would just let him know you bringing someone today

I looked at Ray and she was gazing around the gym at all the eligible bachelors, she looked like she had walked into man paradise.

Ray. Where has this been all my life

Ray. And Damien looks better than this ? 

She said in shock.

I opened the door to the class and seen Damien digging in his bag for something. His shirt was off and his muscles were flexed. Here we go again.

Just as I was about to turn to Ray she had already left my side.

Ray. Well hello

She said holding her hand out to Damien.

Ray. I'm Ray, I'll be joining your class today and I'm looking very forward to it

She said seductively. Damien smiled at her and took her hand.

Then he glanced at me. He smirked and proceeded to kiss her hand. Was it a mistake bringing her here? I rolled my eyes and put my stuff down in the corner.

I know this sexy bastard did not forget my name. I stood there and crossed my arms.

Alexis. It's Alexis, nice to see you to Dorian 

Damien. Damien

He said as a look of amusement crossed his face. As Ray joined me in the corner Damien kept his eyes locked on me. He looked me up and down, I felt like he was undressing me with his beautiful brown eyes. My breathing got slow while I pictured his body on top of mine and my nails clawing at his perfectly sculpted back. I was interrupted by Ray tapping me on the shoulder.

We began again with partner stretches. This time Ray was going to be my partner so I thought. All we started off doing was touching our toes when I hear.

I said with a smart look on my face. The entire class he was reaching around Ray and bending over her. I'm never bringing her back to the gym again. I'll admit I'm jealous as hell watching him over her and call me crazy but I think he was trying to make me jealous. 

Damien. Good work out today guys, tomorrow we hit the punching bags, class dismissed

We all started to walk out when I hear.

Damien. Ray can I speak with you for a second?

Both of us stopped before reaching the door.

Damien. Not you Alexis, you're dismissed 

Ray smirked as she dropped her bag and walked to Damien and I didn't even wanna know what happened next. 

5 minutes went by, 10 minutes and no sign of Ray. That f*****g hoe, I should have known this was going to happen. I stood in the shower with the curtain open since hardly any females came to the gym and I was leaning up on the wall, that sneaky b***h was all I could think. 

Then I heard a voice say...

Alexis 

I snapped out of my little mood and whipped my head around to see Damien standing in the doorway watching me... while I was in the shower.

Alexis. Damien! What the hell are you doing!?

I tried to grab the curtain to cover myself, but it was too late Damien's eyes trailed every curve of my body and the monster in his pants grew more and more visible.

I said finally grabbing the curtain and pulling it toward my body. 

Damien. You were actin kind of weird in class today, I just wanted to check on you 

Alexis. Surprised you had time to notice since you were all over Ray

I said in a snappy tone.

I went outside to see Ray standing by my car.

Why didn't Damien give me his number?

I drove Ray home and thought about how I was going to get Damien's number from her. I went back to my apartment to see the most beautiful setting. All the lights were off, there were candles and rose petals everywhere.

Alexis. Oh my god I said covering my mouth. 

I walked into the room where I seen Liam dressed in a white button down shirt and black dress pants. 

Alexis. Baby what is all this ? 

I couldn't help but to smile at him. 

Liam. You know that beautiful blue dress and black heels I love on you? Go shower and change and meet me outside. 

He kissed me on the head and left the room. 

I did as I was told and got in the shower and almost instantly feeling the water on my body reminded m of earlier with Damien... damn did he know how to make me feel right, he knew exactly where my spot was and I didn't have to tell him what to do. Then I started to feel guilty, I have to tell Liam but not tonight tonight was going to be about us. 

I still remember how Liam an I met. I remember moving into my apartment and feeling lonely, I wanted a companion. I went to petco looking a hot mess, my hair pulled into a low bun, a LAU cap on my head, baggy grey sweats and a baby pink tank top. He seen me looking at the kittens and he came over to me and introduced himself. 

Liam. Hi, I'm Liam 

Was all he said.

Alexis. I'm Alexis

I said looking at her through the glass.

Then he looked around to make sure no one else saw. 

Liam. Follow me

He took me to the backroom and took the little kitten out of her play area and held her.

I took Tati out of his arms and cuddled her. 

Alexis. I just want to take her home and cuddle her and play with her 

I said giggling. 

Alexis. How much ?

I petted her one last time before giving her back to Liam and settling on a goldfish named George. As I was walking out Liam caught up to me.

Liam. Listen, I'm sorry if this is too forward but I was wondering if I could get your number 

I hesitated but I gave it to him and after a week of texting back and forth we decided to go out on a date to the Cheesecake Factory. He made small talk and he made me feel special, at the end of the night he kissed me on the cheek and told me to wait while he went to his car and he came back with Tati in his hands. 

Alexis. Liam! You got her for me! 

Liam. She deserves a nice loving home and I see you can give that to her

I pulled Liam close and I kissed him. While he was kissing me I felt his lips curl into a smile and after that moment all I wanted was to be in his arms...

I got out of the shower put my hair in a bun while glancing over at Tati sleep in the corner. I slipped into my little blue dress and heels. I met Liam outside and he pulled me close and kissed me on the lips before opening the car door for me. 

Alexis. Liam where are we going ? 

I said still with a smile on my face. But he just smiled back at me. I guess I'll find out when  we get there. 

In the car Liam was quiet, he held my hand the entire way there and soft R&B music played in the background. Then we finally pulled up to my favorite place to eat which just so happened to be our first date. When we got inside it was crowded but we got a table all the way in the back  with a view of vibrant downtown Los Angeles. 

We sat down and ordered, he remembered my favorite dish the linguine pasta and shrimp and he ordered the same along with a glass of wine. 

He took my hand from across the table and kissed it. 

Liam. I love you so much Alexis, I always have

Alexis. I love you Liam, I don't even know what to say

A tear fell from my cheek, we were both broke so it was rare that we got to go out on dates like this. 

Over a candle light dinner we talked about our day. Exchanged passionate kisses and loving glances at each other. 

Liam. Listen Alexis, I can't do this without you, I love you and I need you in my life, although you might not think so you are more than perfect in my eyes, you get me, you love me despite everything, you are the most beautiful woman on this earth both inside and out 

He recited to me while caressing my hand. 

Then he let go and got down on one knee and the tears started pouring out of my eyes as he pulled out a ring. 

Liam. Alexis love of my life, after an amazing year an a half by your side, will you make me the luckiest man in the word and marry me?

The ring was beautiful, small but beautiful. But all that I could think was I cheated on him. After I tell him he's never going to want to look at me again. I wanted Liam but I have to come clean first. 

Alexis. Liam

I said crying. 

Alexis. I can't...

I forced out of my mouth.

Liam's face went from pure happiness to disappointment as he put the ring away and sat back on the other side of the table. 

Liam. Was it something I did? What's wrong ?

Liam. Feel rushed? Don't want a commitment?

Liam. Can we get the check please?

He said motioning for a waitress to come our way. He didn't even let me finish....

The car ride back to my apartment was awkward. He didn't even look at me, the radio was off and I almost didnt wanna breath. He got out and slammed the door and then walked inside. 

Alexis. Liam...

I said following after him. 

He went straight to the bedroom to get his things.

Alexis. So you just going to leave me?

I said standing in the doorway.

Liam. I leave your apartment every Sunday because I have work tomorrow don't act like this is something new.

Alexis. Liam please look at me. 

He finally turned to face me.

I wanted to tell him about Damien but he was already pissed off.

He gathered the rest of his things and left my apartment. No I love you, no goodnight, no kisses, nothing, just gone. 

I could call Ray but knowing her she probably gettin some d**k and I do not want to walk in on that. I couldn't call Liam anymore, I didn't have Damien's number, I could call Patrick but... no I could be here by myself. I put my leftovers in the fridge and I curled up in bed alone, a few minutes later I was joined by Tati. 

Then my phone rang, I picked it up fast hoping it was Liam, but no it was my dumb best friend.

Ray. Girl!!! The d**k was bomb ! He was all up in that mess! 

She screamed as soon as I answered the phone.  Was she talking about Damien! 

Alexis. Who Ray ! 

Ray. Girl my p***y was like a super soaker b***h my bed wet, he wet, looking like he just got done taking a dip, oh he did, right into this p***y! 

Alexis. Ray who! 

But she wasn't listening to me she just kept talking. 

Ray. Aye bring me a scarf to class tomorrow to cover these hickeys! 

She yelled. Drunk, she must be drunk.

And she hung up. 

Alexis. What the hell 

I said under my breath. 

Was she with Damien? Did they f**k! Now I was mad. I went on Ray's Snaplit story to see if she posted anything, and with her slut ass all she posted was her in her fancy black lingerie.

I yelled throwing my phone off the bed. 

Eventually I went to sleep. Today I have class at 2 with Ray an at 4 by myself. I had to switch boxing around to the afternoon so I'll be at the gym around 6. I got up and grabbed my phone. No calls or texts from Liam but a text from 

Ray "Don't forget the scarf" 

I shouldn't bring her s**t. I thought as I rolled my eyes. f**k her scarf. When I got to class I seen Ray sitting in the back with some shades and a hat on indicating yet another hangover. 

Ray. Please tell me your brought it!

Without saying anything I dropped the scarf on the table and took a look at her neck. There were hickeys everywhere. Then I started to wonder what Damien's lips would feel like sucking on mine, gently sucking on my breasts. But I would never know. I sighed and took my seat next to her.

She said breaking the silence.

I said rolling my eyes.
