Yvonne didn't know that Pete was going for Elliot.
She waved to Pete and said, "Let's have the meal together. You just drank so much, and you certainly haven't eaten much."
She ordered too much, so she couldn't eat them all on her own.
Pete looked at the things on the table and said, "Your stomach is not good. Eat less stimulating food."
Then he looked at the time. "I won't eat here. I still have some documents to read. You know your ex-husband. If I neglect my work, he can kill me."
Yvonne said, "Okay, then go to work, and we will have dinner together when you have time. We haven't had dinner together for a long time."
Pete nodded and said, "Okay."
She didn't send Pete off either. She sat down and ate slowly.
She glanced at the remaining one pill on the table from time to time.
