The Worst Ritual!

VERONIKA Don't f*****g touch her? The words kept replaying in my head over and over like a loop I could not escape. He said her instead of him. Why did he call me a girl? My heart was hammering so hard against my ribs I thought it might break through. My hands were shaking as I gripped my hoodie tighter, realising I had already been caught. All around me, the whispers grew louder. "Did the captain just call that scrawny newbie her?" "Why would he say that?" My stomach was twisting into knots. He knew. Oh Goddess, he knew. Malik Vance knew I was a woman, and he was about to expose me in front of the entire academy. Malik's hand was raised, ready to throw another punch at the guy pinned to the table, but his friends rushed in. "Yo man, what the hell happened?" They grabbed his arm, their voices urgent as they tried to hold him back. He looked like someone who would not stop even if they begged, his entire body coiled with rage. When they finally managed to pull him away from the table, his eyes found mine across the cafeteria. The look in them was cold and furious and absolutely terrifying. I flinched, fear raking through my entire body. He was going to expose me right now. "You disgust me," he cursed, making half the cafeteria gasp. Then he walked away. The words hit me like a physical blow. I felt my anger spike through the fear. My grip tightened on the hoodie so hard my hands hurt, my jaw clenching as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. How dare he humiliate me in front of everyone like that? I rushed toward the entrance, not caring who was watching. Behind me, the whispers continued. "What the hell just happened?" "Maybe he chose him to torture him. Remember the cola incident?" "That's probably it. The captain called him her as an insult because he's so small and delicate looking. Such a burn." I pushed through the cafeteria doors and leaned against them. So that was what he meant. He was not exposing me. He was insulting me by calling me weak and making me a laughingstock in front of the entire academy. The humiliation burned worse than the fear, but I felt relieved that he did not actually know I was a girl. 'Focus on the ritual,' Vega said quietly. 'That's what that guy was about to tell you before everything went crazy.' I needed to focus on the ritual. I had not caught much about it in the chaos, but apparently, I did not have to show up. Right? *** At 10:45pm, I stood in the middle of an abandoned field in the dark, questioning why I had come. The message on my phone had been clear: The ritual was mandatory for all newbies. Do not miss it or you'll be EXTERMINATED!!! I did not know what exterminated meant, and I was not eager to find out. There were no coaches or adults supervising anything. Just old and new players standing in an abandoned field. 'This is f****d up,' Vega muttered inside my head. 'What happens if I turn around and leave right now?' I asked her. 'Just forget about that extermination threat, and you keep walking.' I sighed and looked up just as a voice boomed across the field. "Welcome, future disasters!" Everyone cheered, but it was muted, like they did not want to get caught. The older players, though, did not seem to care. They looked relaxed, like they had done this a hundred times before. I realised this was a secret ritual. Only people with history in the academy, people with legacies, would know about this. Which meant I was walking blind into something I did not understand, surrounded by Alphas who had all been trained their entire lives to dominate. The assistant captain stepped forward, grinning. "The rule of the game is simple, and that is no rules! All you have to do is increase the number of stamps on your target. Anyone who's been stamped can't be stamped again. Once we find a winner, the buzzer goes off, and that person becomes the king of campus for the next week." He pointed to the side of the field where Malik stood, his arms crossed over his chest. "Think you can defeat our standing champion?" My heart immediately started racing. Malik did not acknowledge the introduction. He just stood there, looking like a predator waiting for the hunt to begin. I had to make sure I did not run into him. I must avoid Malik Vance at all costs. He raised his head suddenly, and our eyes met across the field. My heart skipped a beat, and I looked away so fast I almost pulled a neck muscle. I hated him. After the humiliation in the cafeteria, after the way he had looked at me with disgust, I hated him with every fibre of my being. But my body did not seem to get the memo because it was reacting anyway. Someone handed me a roll of sticker stamps with a crying emoji on them. I looked around and saw everyone else had their own unique stickers with different emojis and different designs. I could not tell what Malik's were from this distance, but I was sure they were something intimidating, a crown maybe, something that screamed dominance. The thought of him stamping me made my skin crawl. 'Is that really what you should be thinking about right now?' Vega asked sharply. 'The buzzer just sounded. Look around!' I snapped back to reality and realised I was standing alone in the middle of the field. Everyone else had scattered, disappearing into the woods that surrounded us. The assistant captain was still there, waving at me like I was an i***t. "Oh s**t!" I turned and ran, pushing myself toward the tree line. Behind me, I could hear people yelling, someone getting tackled, and the sound of fabric ripping. I ran past a scene where one guy had another pinned to the ground, peeling his shirt open and slamming a sticker directly onto his chest. 'What the f**k? Is that allowed?' 'No rules, Veronika,' Vega reminded me sharply. 'Stop staring and run!' I picked up my pace, my lungs burning as I sprinted deeper into the woods. The sounds of the hunt faded slightly, but I could still hear crashes and yells from various directions. After what felt like forever, I spotted a massive tree with a wide trunk and dove behind it, pressing my back against the rough bark. I stood there, panting hard, my hand pressed against my chest as I tried to catch my breath. My heart was still racing, adrenaline flooding my system. "Vega, do you sense anyone?" I asked quietly. 'No. But you can't stay hidden here, Veronika. You need to keep moving.' "Just give me a moment to catch my breath. I'll get back to running. Just tell me if you sense anyone coming, okay?" I peeked around the trunk, trying to see if there was anyone nearby. "Do you hear me, Vega? Vega?" She did not respond as I looked away from the trunk. Malik suddenly appeared in front of me like he had materialised from the shadows. I flinched so hard I nearly jumped out of my skin. He was so close enough that I could reach out and touch him, his dark eyes gleaming in the moonlight. There was something in his expression that made every instinct I had scream at me to run. "Found you," he said. My heart was pounding so hard I thought I might actually die from it. Of all the people in this academy, of all the places I could have been caught, it had to be him. I was trembling, partly from fear, partly from something else I did not want to acknowledge. "How... How did you find me?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. "I could smell you even if you run pretty fast for a girl," he said, stepping closer. My breath caught. He had just called me a girl again. Maybe he was just trying to humiliate me as he had done earlier. "What do you mean by a girl?" I demanded, trying to sound angry, trying to sound like a man. "I'm a man. A strong..." "Man?" he asked, and before I could finish, his hand reached out and grabbed my chest, pressing against the binder beneath my hoodie. I immediately slapped his hand away and wrapped my arms around myself, putting distance between us. "Don't touch me." He did not seem bothered by the rejection. His gaze dropped to his own hand for a moment, and then a slow, predatory smile spread across his face. "I knew it," he said quietly. "My wolf wasn't wrong either." I did not understand what he meant, and I did not want to stick around to find out. There was a gap to the side, a space I could slip through. I could run. I looked at him, calculated the distance, and swiftly made a move. But it was a mistake. I had forgotten how strong he was. I had forgotten why he was the captain of an academy full of powerful Alphas. The moment I tried to bolt past him, his hand shot out and wrapped around my neck, stopping me mid-stride and pulling me back. My feet left the ground for a second before he pushed me down, my back hitting the forest floor hard enough to knock the air from my lungs. I gasped, panic flooding through me. "If you're so concerned with stamping me, go ahead and do it," I begged, desperation clawing at my throat. "Just leave me alone. Please." He did not listen. Men like him did not listen to pleas. He knelt in front of me, and his hand came up to brush my hair away from my face. The gesture was almost gentle, almost tender, which somehow made it more terrifying. His fingers slid down to my neck, pulling me closer to his face. "I'll stamp you alright," he said, his voice low and rough. "But who mentioned anything about using the sticker when I could use my mouth?" "What?" I started to ask, but before I could finish, he pulled me forward by the back of my knee, and my back hit the forest floor again. I lay there, staring up at the canopy of trees, my chest heaving as the air slowly returned to my lungs. But the relief of breathing was instantly replaced by a crushing sense of dread. Before I could even think to scramble away, his hands gripped the collar of my hoodie. With one violent, effortless jerk, he ripped the fabric downward. The sound of tearing cloth echoed through the silent woods, the material shredding under his Alpha strength. The cool night air hit my skin, leaving me exposed and shivering, the sudden vulnerability making me feel smaller than I ever had in my life. "Stop it! Get off me!" I screamed, my voice cracking. I thrashed beneath him, my fists pounding against his broad chest, but it was like hitting a brick wall. He did not even flinch. He pinned my shoulders down, his weight crushing me into the dirt. I opened my mouth to scream for help, but Malik leaned down, his lips brushing against my ear. "Go ahead," he whispered, his voice like a dark and dangerous purr. "Scream as loud as you want. I wonder how the other Alphas will react when they find a naked girl hiding in the woods of an all-Alpha hockey academy. Do you think they'll be as gentle as I am?" The words hit me hard. The horror of that possibility, the thought of a dozen predatory Alphas finding me in this state, stifled the scream in my throat. I froze, my breath hitching, a sob catching in my chest. Malik pulled back just enough to see the terror in my eyes, and a slow, triumphant grin spread across his face. "Thought so." His gaze dropped, lingering on the tight, beige fabric of the binder compressing my chest. He chuckled, a low sound of amusement that made my skin crawl. "Still trying to hide? You can't hide from me." He did not ask and wait as his fingers hooked into the top of the binder, and with a powerful tug, he ripped the restrictive garment away. My breasts spilt out, freed from the pressure, the sudden exposure making me gasp. I tried to cover myself, to shield my body from his predatory gaze, but he was too fast. He lunged forward, his mouth clamping down on one of my n*****s. I let out a sharp cry, my back arching off the ground. He did not just kiss me; he sucked hard, his teeth grazing the sensitive peak, biting down with a possessive intensity that blurred the line between pain and pleasure. "No... please..." I whimpered, my hands fighting to push his head away. In response, he grabbed both of my wrists in one hand and slammed them above my head, pinning them against the ground. I was completely trapped, splayed open and helpless beneath him. He returned to my breasts, alternating between sucking and biting, marking me as his own. I fought him, I twisted, I begged, but as the minutes passed, the sheer intensity of the stimulation began to override my panic. My muscles stopped fighting and started to tremble; my protests turned into soft, broken whimpers. While his mouth continued to ravage my chest, his free hand slid down my stomach, the heat of his palm searing through the fabric of my track pants. He found the mound of my p***y, pressing firmly against the center. I gasped, my legs shaking. He did not stop there; his fingers hooked into the waistband of my pants, sliding inside the fabric to find my soaking wet heat. He began to rub me, his fingers circling my c**t with a rhythmic, demanding pressure. I clamped my jaw shut, determined not to give him the satisfaction of a moan, but the sensation was too much. A loud, needy moan escaped my lips, echoing through the trees. "There it is," he murmured against my skin. He suddenly abandoned my breasts, sliding down my body. He did not remove my clothes yet; instead, he pressed his face against the fabric of my track pants, licking and sucking through the material. The dampness of his tongue soaking through the cloth sent jolts of electricity straight to my core. I was spiralling, my mind a chaotic mess of hatred for him and an agonizing, traitorous need for more. Then, he gripped the waistband of my track pants and panties together, ripping them down my legs in one swift motion. I was completely bare now, my legs forced wide. Malik dove in. His tongue flicked against my c**t with expert precision, eating me out with hunger. He used his hands to squeeze my breasts, kneading the flesh as he licked me, his tongue sliding deep inside my p***y and then swirling around the sensitive nub of my c**t. I was shaking violently, my head tossing from side to side on the forest floor. I hate him. I hate this. Why does it feel like this? The internal conflict was agonizing, but the physical pleasure was winning. I felt the tension building in my lower belly, a coil of heat tightening with every lap of his tongue. I arched my back, my fingers digging into the dirt, my breath coming in short, jagged gasps. I was right on the edge, the world narrowing down to the feeling of his mouth on my p***y and the crushing weight of his body. I felt the climax rushing toward me, ready to shatter me. My hips began to buck instinctively, seeking that final, explosive touch. Just as I was about to break, just as the first spark of the orgasm ignited, the buzzer sounded. Malik pulled his head away immediately. I let out a broken, strangled cry, my body freezing in a state of agonizing suspension. I lay there, trembling and exposed, feeling the cold air hit the slick wetness between my thighs. As he stood up, I saw a thin trail of my own juices and his saliva glistening on his tongue, a silver thread that connected my ruined dignity to his victory. The ritual was over. Someone had won. And Malik Vance had lost his title for the first time in seven years. He stared down at me with his dark and feral eyes, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. "I hate you," I cursed, my mind struggling to catch up with what had just happened. "Make sure you hate me enough that you don't get wet at the thought of me f*****g you." His voice dropped. "Because next time, I'll f**k you until you're unable to skate on the rink and mark you right there as my mate." He stood, and in one smooth motion, he pulled his shirt off over his head. My eyes raked every inch of his muscular body as he threw the shirt at me. "Change into that," he commanded. "I don't want every Alpha in this academy sniffing what's mine." He walked away into the darkness, leaving me lying on the forest floor with his shirt clutched against my chest. 'Vega,' I called out desperately. 'What... What did he mean by mate? Don't tell me it is...' I paused, remembering the cafeteria, how Vega had gone strange. "Answer me, Vega!" I demanded, my voice shaking. 'It is as he said, Veronika,' she finally responded in a quiet voice. 'He's our fated mate.'
