Aurelia POV Consciousness returned slowly, fragments of awareness gradually assembling themselves into coherent thought. I was lying on something soft. The cot, I realized eventually, recognizing the familiar rough blanket beneath my fingers, the quiet crackle of fire from the hearth nearby. My head throbbed dully, and my mouth felt impossibly dry. "Aurelia." Rowan's voice, close and careful, cut through the remaining fog clouding my thoughts. I forced my eyes open, finding him seated beside the cot, his weathered face creased with obvious concern. "What happened?" I asked, "You collapsed," Rowan said. "While we were gathering herbs.
