Aurelia POV My room had never felt smaller than it did that night. I closed the door behind me and leaned against it for a long moment, letting the silence settle over me like a weight I have been carrying all day and finally allowed myself to feel. The small space held everything I owned in the world. A narrow bed with a thin blanket. A single shelf above it.
