Hunt

It was a quiet night. The wind was blowing in a usual cool pace and Mila knew now is the better time.
She called Ash who was with Derrick filling him with her plan.
"How many?" She asked.
"5!" He replied looking around.
Mila could feel them around but made sure her group scent was masked. "Kill them all" she barked an order and stood in the middle while her men sprinted into the woods.
Hayden was standing as a guard while Eli, Ash, and Derrick went for the hunt.
The wolves they were after screamed for mercy. But Mila did not bulge. Her face remained expressionless when the screams of their prey echoed in the calm night.
"They are dead," Ash reported as soon as three of them emerged from the darkness.
"Next hunt is going to be after three days.. I advise all of you to be ready."
All three of them nodded their head in a Yes. And just like that dispersed again.
Mila and Hayden returned to bluedale just in few hours between Sunset. "Does Jessica know?" She asked him.
"No, she doesn't and I am not planning to tell," Hayden answered.
"Good. I would prefer the matter be between us."

Mila felt a weird sense of satisfaction as she remembered the cries of the wolves begging for mercy. Her scalp prickled as hot water slid down. "Few more..just a few more..."
As she retired to bed her mind couldn't help but wander around her mate. She longed for a mate for such a long time and now when she has found him she couldn't help but stay away from him for his benefit and hers.
Her mind again wandered about the task in her hand she ripped the cover off her as she sat on her study table with her laptop and few books. She ought to find the cure soon.

Zoey stirred in her sleep, sweat trickling down her face.
She was running in the woods bare feet, her hair sticking to her face because of the amount of sweat. It felt like her feet would give away any minute but she knew better than to stop. They are after her and they wouldn't stop until they have her.
Her eyes glistered with tears. She would never want anything if this Chase could stop. But what she couldn't understand was why was she alone? Where was her mother? Father? Her sister?
"Its waste of time Jones ... you are nothing but a dead meat." A rough voice said from behind.
The hair behind her neck stood because of the goosebumps, she could feel the fatigue locking in at once as she collapsed on the ground.
Zoey jolted from her sleep breathing deeply she gulped the bottle full of water which was kept on the bedside table.
"Its just nightmare, zoey ... it's just a nightmare." She repeated drawing strength from the familiarityof her surroundings.

Splash felt really anxious but the feeling was not his, it was his mate's. The thing he noticed about zoey was she was mostly anxious except when she is around her sister sometimes even around him also she seems to be so guarded. It felt as if she doesn't trust or feel safe around anyone except her sister.
Splash made his way to their mansion and climbed up through her window. Zoe was lying in the bed tossing around.
"Zoe ..." he called trying not to scare her.
"Though I'm jumpy... you do realise that I'm a wolf and I can smell you right?!" She asked still not facing him.
"You were scared?" He asked taking the liberty to walk into her room.
"I had a nightmare," she said finally turning around to face him. Splash pulled the chair towards her bed and sat down holding her hand in his, he said "Its okay. You are fine."
"Can you tell me a story?" She asked.
"Story?!"
"I like listening to your voice... it calm's me." She said.
Splash couldn't help but smile at her. "Which story you want to hear?" He asked.
"Anything...."

"So let's arrange the ceremony tomorrow," Connor suggested as he was shuffling the paper around in Josh's office next morning.
"No.. let's do it. Tonight." Josh said.
"Tonight.... why?"
"I do not want to delay it any further than it has already is."
"Very well I will go see that all the necessary arrangements are done," Connor said.
"Okay.... I think after that you could retire I would most probably go check the boundary or run along."
"Sure. Is your Dad returning from firewood?"
"Oh yes.. he called today morning , he will be back in by today evening or tomorrow."
"Is Alpha of Firewood accompanying your Dad.?"
"He is sure invites but I am not sure. I wish Landis could make time. It's been so long that I have hung up with him."
Landis Moore, Alpha of Firewood- young and Handsome Alpha. Josh and landis were friends from their training academy. Since they got titles passed from their father's both of them became too busy to visit each other. If landis takes time and tried to visit this would be his first time in Bluedale.
"And yeah I am going to attend the training session today in the evening. Inga is teaching the pups today so. Connor said giving Josh a sheepish smile.
"Whipped." Josh laughed at his friend.
"Aren't you? You always with Dani"
Dani. Dani is and will always be his bestfriend, looking at her as anything more than a friend now that he found his mate just seems so wrong. He just wish Dani sorts her mess soon. So that they could put a stop to their crazy drama.
"Okay.. I am out of here." Josh said shifting into his black wolf running in the direction of the hospital. When he asked his wolf why were they going in that direction. His wolf simply replied that he miss his mate and want to see her.
His wolf is already whipped.

Dani took a deep breath before entering the downtown bar which is a few hours drive from Bluedale. The first time where she met her mate one month back. Though her wolf cried out at her to go back here all this time...she didn't want to. The season was simple her pack needed her... her bestfriend needs her but now that she conceived she can't let the baby grow without its really father.
It was still too early to enter a club. There was a girl cleaning the counter. Dani made her way towards the counter.
"We aren't open yet," the lady at the counter said.
"I just wanted to ask something."
"Ask something?" The girl raised an eyebrow at her.
"It's about a guy." Dani said cursing herself for not even asking his name and jumping into his bed. The thing is he left before she woke up.
"Guy ? You do realise that this club is the most popular one in downtown and many come and go." Girl said resuming her work.
"I know... but it's really important to me... he is 6ft tall, black hair, sharp jaw.. "Dani couldn't understand how else she could explain this to her so she said what came to her mind "Her was super hot."
"Green eyes?" The girl asked.
Dani nodded her head.
The girl at the counter burst out laughing... "I think I have an idea about whom you are talking. Leave all your hopes honey. He doesn't exactly do relationships."
Dani frowned at her, "Is he regular here?" She asked.
"Kind of...last time I saw him was three days ago."
"Do you think he will come today?" She asked... it might look she is too desperate but Dani didn't care.
"Maybe" the girl shrugged "Now Can I go back to my work ?" She sighed.
"One last thing... could you please give him this card and ask him to call. This is really important. Please"
The girl gave Dani look before missing her head.
Dani thanked for her help. You better call me, Mate.

Jessica slowly adjusted her breathing as she ran for almost hour. Bluedale is huge. Dalton wasn't small either but Bluedale felt very nice. Her mind played the memory of the day when Hayden asked her to join him.
Jessica was an artist and her job kept her always moving... away from her house... away from her pack. When she planned her future she always thought that once she found her mate she would settle down but Hayden being Rouge didn't give her much chance to settle down. He has told her that they would be traveling a lot. She didn't want to lose him so she followed him and seeing bluedale she couldn't knock out the feeling of settling in a place like this she could totally see herself making a family here.
She decided to make a request to Hayden that night and moreover, she wanted to talk about the separate house. She just couldn't brush off the feeling that Mila and Hayden have something in their past.
The thought of Hayden and Mila together gave her a very bad feeling. She likes everyone in that family but she just couldn't accept Mila.
There is something very different about her...
