Friendly Advice

Zoey sat on her window sled smiling at the turn of events in less than 24 hours. She can still feel her mates touch on her face and lower back. The tingling sensation just wouldn't stop.
"Am I lucky that you are still awake?" she heard a voice, the same voice which did things to her. she turned to see Splash standing down her window.
"I am just getting ready to go to bed," she said trying to make her voice as calm as possible.
"Anyway what are you doing here? Didn't you just leave? "
"Oh... I can go back if you want" Splash said shrugging his shoulders.
"Noo..." Zoey was too fast to react, Splash smiled at her while she turned her head to hide the blush that spread on her face.
" Then move back a little," he said. Even before she could process his words he was inches apart from her.
Having him this close was not helping her situation, a situation where she is thinking how she is going to survive in a high school in the middle of the year and also she has to talk to her sister about joining the pack.
"What happened? " he asked as soon as she saw the frown on her face.
"Do you know anything about us joining the pack?"
"Well... I know that my brother asked your parents if they want to join and they said YES. "
Zoey couldn't believe her ears. "They said What?! " She said through gritted teeth.
Splash studied her for few seconds before asking " You don't want to join the pack!?"
She could sense a change of his mood in seconds. " I... I want to but not just yet."
" Not yet....! I should have already marked you, but I thought you would need some time. What if something happens to you? You are a beta's mate, that makes you a person of interest. What if you want to mind link me? What if anything happens to you when you can't call anyone for help.?"
"You are The Beta?!" She asked amused.
"You caught only that line?"
" Well, that is the only the part which keeps me interested. And however, I am well trained to kick some ass. I don't need anyone to come and save me if I need someone in my worst case I have my sister whom I can count on" she said very uninterestedly.
He rushed to her side taking her face into his hands and placed a ferocious kiss on her lips.
Zoey was shocked at first but slowly followed his lead.
"You have me now to count on. You are my responsibility. And I want you to join the pack."
Zoey gave a humorless chuckle. "You can't force me"
"True, I can't but I can try changing your mind."
"What are you suggesting on?" she asked narrowing her eyes.
"Well, I have a plan or two." He said taking slow steps towards her.
Zoey raised an eyebrow at him and gave in a smile, " Then I would like you to try" she said trying to take a few steps back.
As he chased after her into the woods.

Mila knew that she should have rushed back with her mate, but she couldn't. She could clearly see her mates concern for his chosen mate. Maybe he loves her, maybe Mila was not blessed with having a mate who loves her. Maybe she should leave to make things easier for her, her mate and Dani.
She was making her way back home when she heard two wolves talking " Future Luna Dani is pregnant. I am so happy for our Alpha and Luna."
Mila felt as if someone knocked the breath out of her. She stood there frozen. Whatever hope she had washed away.
She didn't want to stay here... Not now... Not anymore...
She could research something else. Not if for her curiosity about what's happening... She would never have stepped in this land. She has to leave. She was not that kind-hearted To see her mate with someone else and that too having babies.
Mila rushed as fast as she could to the house. She wished everyone to be asleep so she could sneak out. As usual, fate had other plans Hayden was sitting on the front porch as if waiting for her.
"If not for her grace herself," he remarked sarcastically.
" What are you doing here?" She snapped.
"I sat here for past.." he sees his imaginable watch and continues "1hour waiting for you"
Mila somewhere in these three years missed him. She sighed and settled beside him.
He gave a sheepish grin and threw his arms around her. She missed him. She missed his foolish smile. She missed his let's annoy Mila motto. She missed his warming hugs. She missed their midnight sneak outs.
"I missed you" she murmured into his shoulder.
"I missed you too," he said placing an innocent kiss in her hair.
"Now will you tell me what happened and why are you so grumpy and angry? " he asked.
"I found my mate"
"Well... I figured that part. Did that assh*le reject you?"
"Hayden...." this came in a lower growl. It was her wolf's doing. She doesn't want anyone to insult her mate, friend or not. Mila was embarrassed for her wolf's control just for a second.
Hayden just chuckled and said " I'm sorry... I have a mate and I know how that bond grows"
"Well, this is all new for me," Mila said in a small voice and my experience it just for a few days because she was running away from Bluedale that very night.
"So... who is he?" Hayden pryed.
"Any guess? Mila asked chuckling at his curiosity.
"I have my money on someone from this pack."
"True"
"And?"
"It's The Alpha." She said calmly.
"Wooh.... wait!! As in Josh Woods.?"
Mila just gave him a small nod.
"Well, that is messed up!" Hayden remarked and Mila couldn't agree more.
"And his Luna is pregnant"
" Mila... you didn't deserve that, you don't deserve him."
"And who are you to tell her what she deserves or not?!" Each word said deadly clear and sharp by Josh who was standing a few feet away.
Mila sat upright immediately but Hayden still sat carelessly "I'm her friend and I give her good advice. Seriously a guy couldn't even wait for his mate is not worth any girl." Hayden spat.
"Shut up wolf. It's none of your business and you we didn't complete 'Our Talk'. COME. " he said his Alpha side showing out.
"Hayden go inside. I will come in a while."
Hayden sighed " Don't let him walk all over you Mila..."
A low growl came from Josh. However they both neglected it. "Will keep that in mind." She called back.
"Did you to have something going on?" Josh snapped as soon as Mila made her way to him.
"No!! And you have no right to assume so" she shrieked. However, Josh ignored the bitchy behavior of his mate and continued " He wants you" his eyes turning a shade darker with each word.
"He has a mate " Mila cried, she couldn't believe she is explaining herself.
"But he still wants you" he spat.
Mila was annoyed with him and said "My own mate doesn't want me. Why would other want me?."
That made him quite. Mila was proud of her argument. She knew there are many other men out there handsome men.. who want her but not Hayden and definitely not her mate.
She was brought back to reality when she felt herself being pushed against a tree and in seconds her lips were covered by his. Mila could feel the sparks and tingles as he ran his hand down her arm and the other was positioning her head. The kiss was slow and gentle, she wants to stop him but couldn't. All she could do was follow his lead while snaking her hands around his neck.
