" I thought you are a wolf, but what are you doing?" Dani asked scared. Suddenly this didn't feel like the best idea.

Mila didn't reply and was holding Dani's hand tightly.

Dani's eyes widened as realization hit her. " Oh Heavens you are a witch" she shrieked.

Mila opened her eyes immediately and gave a very big laugh. "Witch?! I prefer the word Sorcerer."

"Witch or sorcerer.. they mean same? How come you are a witch? Aren't you a wolf. ?" Dani asked.

"Easy.. easy... Yes. I am a wolf and I am a wit.. sorcerer too."

"But how?"

"That's for you to wonder," Mila said giving her a small smile. Her wolf was begging to pull Dani's eyes out because Josh wasn't sure about the baby which means they have had s*x.

As of Mila, she is trying to push that fact as far as she can from her brain.

"Are all your family members wit.. sorcerers?"

"No. Only me" she said.

"Why did you suddenly come to Bluedale.?"

"I believe your Alpha is the one who invited us"

"Yes, true. Does Peter know?"

"No one knows and no one is supposed to. If anyone by chance finds out I have to go away without solving your pack problem. Understand?" Mila asked analyzing whether her decision about spilling the truth about her magic to Dani was correct or not. However, She had no other option. She wanted to do everything in her power to keep her mate away.

"If in future after finding your mate, if you have to tell about how you are hiding your scent. Tell some witch gave you some portion or something."

Dani nodded her head in response."But what exactly did you do?" She asked curiously.

"I mixed my blood with your's and cast a cloaking spell"

"How long have you been a sorcerer?"

"Didn't I say it was for you to wonder?"

Cold wind attacked them. The forest was quiet with nothing but the sounds of crickets id heard.

"It's late...you should get back," Mila said as Dani's cut started to heal completely.

Both women called it a night and rushed towards their respective homes.

"Zoe... drink your milk or else you will not set foot out of this house," Ella shouted from the kitchen

"I'm Already late. " Zoey shouted back searching for her bag.

"No.. you aren't," Mila said.

Zoey gave Mila Don't ruin this for me look before running from one room to other. "Where is my bag?" Zoey shouted.

"Go... drink milk. I will find out your bag."

"Ahh.. no. I've to go."

"Where..? You still have one hour for your school."

"Mila... are you doing this on purpose. I don't want to drink milk. I have to go meet my mate." Zoey mind linked Mila.

Mila gave Zoey a teasing smile before her face turned in disgust.'Take it slow. Okay,' she mind-linked her back.

Zoey turned beet red. 'We are still not in that phase' she replied.

Mila choked on the water she was drinking, 'What phase?'

Zoey blushed ' You know a phase where we... you know..."

"Auh.. Zoe no..." Mila said and rushed out of the room.

"Are you alright?" Splash asked Zoey as they are walking through the woods.

"You have been asking the same question for past fifteen minutes. Yes, I'm fine," she said looking into his blue eyes.

"I'm so sorry, I couldn't come in time."

"It's okay. The fault is with me. I shouldn't have run away like that."

"Speaking of that... why does your sister don't like blue Dale so much?"

"It's not that she doesn't like here, it's.. it's just that she wants to be somewhere else right now."

"Where? " Splash asked calmly.

Zoey smiled before turning around "She has a goal to fulfill, a promise to keep. So for that, I think she would go where her heart wants to be."

"Is it so?" splash said wondering what that might even mean.

"And one last question... how do you know that nighthawk wolf back there." He asked.

A ferocious growl erupted from Zoey, she hated that she appeared to be weak in front of that wolf. Her fist tightened if he was not dead yet she would make sure to kill him.

"Zoey...." Splash came immediately in front of Zoey. Zoey's wolf was going crazy. She was angry she wanted to be let out, but Zoey knew better than that.

"Zoey" Splash called taking her into his arms."Calm down. No need to work yourself up." Zoey tried taking deep breathes.

"Zoey" Mila mind linked her.

"Calm down..." she said her every word clear as crystal.

She was trying but couldn't and suddenly she felt at peace. Zoey couldn't understand the sudden calmness surrounding her. She opened her eyes so she was engulfed in a bear hug by her mate. She blinked in confusion.

Splash heavied a sigh and said, "I knew this would work." Ruffling her hair.

"What just happened?" Zoey asked confused.

"Looks like your wolf is too much dominant," he said.

"Yes, she is." She answered, running her mind through what just happened.

"I'm your mate, it's obvious my touch would soothe you."

'Oh,' Zoey said as if understanding drawn.

"You are too cute when you are confused," he said pinching her cheeks.

Zoey couldn't help the blush that rose her face.

"And you are late, " he said seeing her expression turn into sheer terror.

"You know what? You are the best" Jessica said lying on their bed completely satisfied.

"Aren't I?" Hayden asked chuckling at his pretty mate her hair sticking everywhere and sweat dripping from her head.

She placed her arm on his jaw before kissing him lightly "I love you"

"I love you too," he said almost immediately.

She smiled satisfied with his answer.

"If you keep on smiling like that I might not be able to go hospital"

"I don't want you to go, Mr. Doctor," she said tugging his arm so that he wouldn't leave the bed. He placed a quick kiss on her lips.

"I have to sweetheart," he said smiling against her lips.

"Why did the Alpha call you yesterday?" She asked.

"I examined a dead wolf yesterday. He wanted to know what exactly happened to him."

"And what happened?"

Hayden sighed telling her the same story he told Alpha. " His blood pressure increased abnormally causing for overflow of blood with super pressure in his capillaries."

"How the hell can that happen?" She asked curiously.

Hayden sighed if only he could explain the possibilities."It is"

"Now give me a kiss and get dressed or else I would be imagining that sexiness without doing my work."

Josh was waiting for Dani in his office, he mind linked her to come so that they could have the talk. He wanted to know what's happening.

"What are you thinking about so hard that you didn't notice me coming? " Dani asked walking inside and occupying the chair opposite to him.

"You," he said without a second thought.

"What about me?" She asked.

"About the baby"

"Oh.. baby," she said twitching her fingers nervously on her lap.

'Breathe Dani!! You are going mess up' she said to herself.

Josh didn't miss the immediate withdrawal of her hands from the table and a second of nervousness in her eyes before it's replaced by a blank expression.

"What about the baby?" She asked calmly.

"Are you going to tell me who the father is?"

Dani wondered how the hell did he find out. "What do you mean?" She asked faking a heart expression.

"I know the baby isn't mine Dan. I can't believe you didn't come to me, to tell the truth. I thought we were best friends." Josh said.

Dani's eyes immediately teared up, "I'm sorry Josh I had no other option. The baby is my mate's but I don't know his name, address anything. You know Mom would kill me if tell this truth I was supposed to marry you"

"Shh..Dani" he said placing his hands on hers. "I'll talk to Kate"

"No..no... please don't do that. Please give me some time I will track down my mate and then tell everyone the truth"

"But Dani the scent of the baby won't be mine then everyone will know the truth." He tried to reason.

"You don't worry about it... I got it covered." She said.

"What do you mean you got it covered?"

"I found a witch who cast a spell to mask the baby's scent," she said.

Josh's face etched into a frown immediately. "Witch?"

Dani just nodded her head. She negotiated whether to tell him or not about Mila but decided against it. It is her secret to tell.

"So you want me to act as the father of the baby till you track down the original father."

"Yes"

"And how are you going to track him down? "

"I'll go to the place where I first met him and ask around," she said casually. "But please go with my act" she begged.

Josh wanted to say No. But he couldn't bring himself to say No. He just nodded his head at her.

Dani released the breath she didn't know she was holding. "Thank you, Josh .. Thankyou so much"

Mila was tired trying all the new compositions her mother noted down. Nothing gave the result they wanted.

She was glad they were no serious cases right now which meant she could go home and take rest. Good thing Hayden owes her for the early run to the hospital today. So she could leave early. Though her mother has been in charge of the hospital, she would never dare to take the leisurities.

As soon as she came home she hit the shower. The hot water was soothing her skin. A satisfactory moan came out from her mouth.

"What the hell are you doing inside?" Zoey shouted from outside.

"Its called taking Shower."

"Then what is with all that moaning?"Zoey chuckled.

"Oh.. shut up" Mila said rolling her eyes.

Mila found Zoey sitting on her bed when she came out.

"How was your first day?" She asked applying some night cream.

"Just made it in time"

Mila laughed out loud "Splash kept you busy?"

"Haha very funny. No. We were talking and suddenly I lost my control"

"Oh yeah I sensed that but suddenly you were calm. How did that happen?"

Zoey blushed at that question "Splash hugged me. He said because of him being my mate, my wolf actually calms down with his touch."

Mila tried so hard to control the awww that was coming out of her mouth. "Good thing because now I don't need to be around you whenever your wolf loses control," she said playfully.

Zoey just glared at her before throwing a pillow at her.

"You know" her voice turned serious all of sudden "Splash said that wolf died yesterday night"

Mila nodded her head before replying "I know. I killed him"
