Josh was going through the file his tracer brought, it had all information about "The New Ones". He had the urge to check about Hayden again, he didn't like seeing him too close to his mate.
His Mate. He still has to talk to her and Dani. Dani was still sleeping according to Ella.
It was very early in the morning, he couldn't sleep at all...He was trying to keep himself occupied until he speaks with Dani. He was busy looking through the file when one of the guard's mind linked him.
'Alpha there are two men asking for the permission to enter. They say they have an important file to be Delivered to The Jones.'
Josh sighed. 'Okay. Ask Connor and Ash to accompany them to the pack office.'
'Rouges again!' He heard Connor in his head and he could easily point out the disapproving tone.
Connor was his third in command, his best friend, they literally grew up together. He didn't like the fact that Rouges have been called to solve our problem.. what to do, according to his dad Ella is best in the field and the fact that she is former member of bluedale and his dad's good friend he had to agree and he is happy because if not he could not have met his mate and same goes with splash. That goofy i***t is on cloud nine having found his mate and Josh couldn't blame him, he would have been same if his condition is different.
'excuse me!' Corner said before he entered my office along with two men, rouges.
"SORRY I am late.." splash said as soon he entered.
'I will deal with you later.' Josh mind linked him.
"what do you want?" Corner asked the rouges as splash entered.
"We have a piece of very important information to pass on." the shortest guy among them spoke.
" What information?" splash asked.
"It's classified. I am not sure I could talk about it in front of you." The same guy said looking around.
" And who would you like to give this classified information to?" splash asked sardonically.
"Dr.Jones."
"OKAY.... What do we do now?" splash asked Josh. Josh just nodded his head to bring Dr. JONES Sr.
"No... Mila..." the other guy spoke for the first time.
A frown was fetched on Josh's face as soon as his mate name was taken. "Splash go get Mila Jones," he said ordering his brother. He decided at that moment that he is not letting them out of his site while talking to his mate.
The moment his mate came in as a spell he got locked in those beautiful hazel eyes. Connor cleared his throat and shot him a sharp look.
"Ash? Derrick? oh my God. " she said and went to hug them. A loud growl erupted from his throat that was enough to stop her in tracks.
"No touching. They are rouges and I don't trust them" was all he said.
"What are you guys doing here?" She asked.
"We came to give these," Ash said thrusting a file towards her.
She took the file from him and went through it.
"Where the hell did you get this from?" She asked.
Ash looked around and said, "can we do this more private." He said.
"No..." Josh snapped before Milal.
Mila shook her head at Josh and said "It probably involves his pack so I see no harm in talking in front of him."
Ash looked at Derrick who nodded so he continued "Your mom... gave them and Suzi ran few tests and that is the final report and I think you know what to do to help them."
Mila remained quite for few seconds. She had everyone's attention "I will pass these to mom"
All this while Derrick remained sinfully calm. When Mila noticed that she looked at him.
Josh couldn't help but notice the small frown on his mates face as she saw the other guy.
"I know what you are up to Mila..." he said speaking for the first time.
Josh was observing every change carefully and mention of his mate's name got his wolf on the front. What is she up to! He thought.
"And that is a stupid idea... You know you can't run away. Now is not the right time."
Runaway? Was his mate running away? Josh thought.
"But.. " his mate started but Derrick cut her off "Get this into your thick skull Mila... it is not safe for you out there" he snapped at her.
"watch your tone." Josh stood from his chair and was now standing to in front of Mila.
Ash and Derrick immediately lowered their eyes.
"You can go now, I will tell you what I intend to do and..." she looked pointedly at Ash "you report to me. Understand." her voice pointed.
They both nodded their head. "Take care," Derrick said ruffling her hair.
"Connor escort them out of the pack territory," Josh said.
Mila gave one last look to him and was about to go "Wait. .. Ms. Jones.. I need to speak to you" he said"alone.." he stressed after seeing Splash.
"Cool" splash said getting out.
Mila gulped as soon as the door behind her closed.
"Were you going somewhere?" He asked in a accusing tone.
"I planned to leave." She said in a small voice.
In a flash, Josh was standing In front of her " Why? "
"My Wolf doesn't like it here"
"Would you...." he started but someone was desperately trying to mind link him.
It was Kate... " Dani woke up and she is asking for you"
Mila stood there looking at her mate, he was mindlinking someone. She moved few steps back... standing that close to him was killing her.
"Its Dani," he said.
Milal mood instantly soured... She just nodded her head in understanding.
Her wolf was whining and she was just consoling her wolf telling her fate has done big mistake by giving such a jerk as a mate.
"Can you come with me to just check on her?" He asked.
Jerk. Stupid Jerk. "I will but..... I want you to reject me before we go there." She said with a emotionless tone and a face.
Josh clenched his fist. His wolf wanted him to let go, so he could tell his mate what she is thinking Is complete absurd.
Josh took a deep breath and said "After I check on Dani" and he rushed outside before she could object.

Mila followed Josh to the hospital quietly. Dani's room was surrounded by her family and friends.
Dani had a hand her stomach and was smiling. Mila's wolf was upfront growling. Bitchy much.. yea I know.
"Oh Josh you are here..... let's give the soon to be a parent's some alone time"Kate gushed.
Mila stood there as everyone else emptied the room. Mila was moving her weight from one foot to other.
"Mila ...?" Kate called.
"Oh. .. I will just check her and go." She said awkwardly.
"Oh.. then I think I'll stay with you"
"Kate... you go.... I will be here." Josh assured her.
Kate gave him a big smile and said " I'm so happy for you both" before hugging him.
Mila couldn't help but roll her eyes and she went near Dani.
"How do you feel Ms. Marshall? " she asked going into her Doctor mode.
"I feel okay and please call me Dani," she said politely.
She checked the pulse and blood pressure. Everything was normal. She turned towards Josh. While he seems to be mindlinking someone , a small frown fetched on his face. She turned towards Dani but she had her eyes fixed on Josh. She thought to give them both sometime.
"Wait... Mila... how is my baby?" Josh asked.
It felt some one twisted her heart.... Mila took a deep breath and turned towards him.
"The baby..." she said and sniffed again. Dani and Josh looked at her alarmed. Milal narrowed her eyes at Dani and said "Alpha if you excuse me... can I talk with her alone for a minute?"
"No," Josh said immediately.
"Don't worry it's not about what you think. It's about the baby"
Josh looked at Dani who gave him a nod. Milal couldn't help but roll her eyes.. it's not like she will fry her and eat. Nice idea her wolf replied. Oh, shut up. Mila thought.
Josh gave one last look to both the women and stepped out.
When she was sure Josh was out of hearing range.
"So... is my baby alright?" Dani asked.
Mila gave her a small smile and said "Your baby is totally fine. Completely healthy."
"Then?" Dani asked.
Mila took a deep breath again and said " Its not Alpha's baby."
Dani looked shocked for a second before she said "Excuse me..."
"Don't try to deny it...I can smell the baby.. trust me when i say it's not Alpha's scent on him. "
Dani looked flabbergasted." I plan to tell him" she said after a minute or so.
Mila looked like she was in a deep thought and said "Don't!"
"If I don't... he will eventually find out..."
"He can... but he won't... if you kept this secret... You want to inform your baby daddy first" Mila said raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah... I have to track him first until then what am going tell him, everyone, as you said my scent would give it away."
What are you doing?! If our mate knows about this... we can be with him... beside him... where we belong... her wolf begged her.
Exactly and I don't want to be by his side. Mila told her.
"Well, I can help you with that.!" She said to Dani.
