"How are you still alive?" Zoey asked glaring at him.

"So it's indeed Jones siblings." He tried to play it cool but the alertness in his eyes didn't go unnoticed.

Every bluedale wolf that was in the area were all alert and curious.

"Take them away," Josh ordered before either of them could say something.

"Kill them... they attacked my sister," Mila said not taking eyes off that particular wolf.

"That is for me to decide." Josh snapped getting in his "No one questions your Alpha mode".

Splash growled at him through the mind link 'I will kill them'.

'Splash! We will. Trust me on that, you could tear them apart limb to limb' Josh replied.

"Would you do the same if they have attacked your mate?" Mila asked her eyes turning dark with each second.

Josh narrowed his eyes at her took a deep breath 'she doesn't know how you deal with your problems' he chanted in his head and said 'Yes'.

Mila gave a dry chuckle... "Sorry I forgot." She mumbled for only people near her to listen "I meant Would you do the same if they have attacked Dani and her baby...?"

Josh growled loudly at her. What did she mean? Why is she bringing Dani into everything? "Enough," he said.

"Mila... let's go.," Zoey said pulling her through the elbow trying her best to divert her attention from pissed Alpha.

"Zoey you are bleeding. Come let's get you first aid." Splash said.

Zoey raised her hand "I want to be with my sister." She said keeping her face blank.

Mila gave her a look which Zoey brushed off and pulled her away towards their home.

"Mila... " Zoey started but one glare from Mila she stopped.

Mila was applying some ointment on the wounds Zoey received.

"Ahh.." Zoey groaned in pain.

Mila fringed at that shout a little. She started blowing air on the wound.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I was angry" Zoey mumbled hugging Mila burying her head in Milas' stomach.

Mila stood there without moving. She was angry... that she couldn't finish of that wolf... angry that Zoey was hurt and she wasn't their.... afraid that what happened in past may happen again.

"Please say something" Zoey begged.

"Its better for us that I shut my mouth" Mila mumbled trying to free herself from Zoey's hold.

"I know I know you are angry... I'm sorry I can imagine..."

"You Can?! Can't you? I was so scared and angry. I couldn't live if anything happened to you. I promised to keep you safe." Mila snapped.

Zoey jumped at Mila's voice. Her eyes immediately clouded. "I'm sorry "

Mila eyes softened a little. "Never do that again okay?" She asked.

Zoey nodded her head.

"And never cloak your scent from me, understand?"

Zoey nodded again wiping her tears off.

Mila pulled Zoey into a hug and kissed her head.

"I'm hungry," Zoey said once her waterworks stopped.

Mila chuckled at her sibling and said " Come I'll feed the beast"

"I will kill them all..." Splash growled.

Josh along with his third in command was sitting in his office going through the normal protocol of questions.

"You will, but not now. Let us know their true intention of the attack and then you can kill them. I will not come in your way" Josh replied calmly.

His wolf was pacing. He wanted to know how a nighthawk's member knew Mila. He saw the look she gave him when he said 'Yes', it was he doesn't know, kind of heartbroken. Who would not be when you know your mate doesn't care about you.

"So shall we start the interrogation?" Connor asked.

Josh gave him a nod. He still needs to sort out Dani's pregnancy.

"Speak," Connor growled as he twisted the hand of one of the nighthwak wolf painfully.

"Ahhh.... we...had to... just... pass..by..." the wolf said.

Splash kicked the wolf in the groin, "ahh..." the wolf groaned.

"We foun...d that sh..e wolf an..d we thou..ght w..e... would a..tt..ack"

Splash ripped his heart out in a second. His wolf wanted blood how dare they attack his mate.

"Next one" he snapped at the guard.

This went on till all the six wolves are dead. Only the wolf who recognized Mila was standing there bleeding from one of his arm.

'Splash move aside I will deal with him" Josh mindlinked his brother.

Splash gave the nighthawk wolf one last look before rushing out, his wolf needed a run to cool off.

Josh gave the guards order to leave. Only Corner and Josh were left in the call along with the wolf.

"So... So you wanna speak.?" Corner asked cracking his knuckles.

"However I can see my future. So... what's best than to mess with a pack than dieing without giving them any information"

"Shutup" Corner said punching him straight in the face.

"How do you know Jones?" Josh asked.

"Who doesn't know them." He said adjusting his jaw which looked pretty bad. "Even if you won't kill me... I'm sure I would be dead by today midnight because I saw Mila Jones and that b***h wouldn't risk her information going out of this pack."

Josh kicked him in his shin making him fall on his knees. "What information? " he asked.

He opened his mouth to tell something but he started to bleed from his mouth and blood pour from his eyes as tears.

Josh and Connor were surprised.

"What's happening?" Connor shrieked.

"Call the doctor now" he roared, but somewhere he knew that calling a doctor was of no use that man was already de ad.But how? Was the question.

Mila was sitting in her new doctors cabin when Hayden rushed in.

"I just examined someone." He said a in grave tone.

"And?" Mila asked bored arranging the files on her desk.

"That man was brought from prison, he started bleeding suddenly and mysteriously."

Now Mila head raised from the files to the Hayden.

"He is dead"

"And what might be the reason?" She asked him.

Hayden was about to answer when corner.

"Alpha is asking for you," he said looking at Hayden.

"Yes.. I'm coming." Hayden said before giving Mila a look.

Connor was still standing in front of Mila even after Hayden left.

"Do you want something Mr....?!"

"Rodge. Connor Rodge."

Mila gave him a small smile.

"It's just that...." he hesitated but continued anyway "the wolf who recognized you, he said something weird."

"Wierd...? As in?" She asked.

"He said something..... Something like you would kill him or something..."

"I would have... but good thing he is dead." She said in a serious tone.

Connor just gave her a look and said "Be prepared... Alpha might ask you some questions."

Mila released a heavy sigh before continuing with her work.

All day Mila was hoping that her mate would show up demanding an explanation but no, Josh was nowhere seen.

She was walking through the forest part of the pack to meet Dani according to the plan. The cool breeze hitting her face. She was thinking about her mate. As now she knows Dani's baby father is not Josh... she was thinking what that would mean to her. She was remembering the passionate kiss they shared last night. It was magical. But the saddest part is now even though she knew her mate might want her. She has to prepare her heart to push him away. She can't let him in. She has some bigger things to accomplish.

She didn't realize when tears started flowing down her eyes. Her wolf was silent.

"I found you." She heard Dani speak.

She quickly wiped her tears before she turned and gave Dani a smile.

"So...You decided to go with the plan?"

Dani quietly came and sat beside Mila. Both women looked like they were in deep thought.

"Yes," Dani said breaking the silence after few minutes. " I need some time to find my baby's father, until then"

"you can trust me," Mila said.

Dani just nodded her head, she was scared... what would Josh think? but somewhere her heart says that he would definitely understand and moreover she has someone to find by the end of next week before she decided to tell the truth to Josh.

"so let's get started, shall we?" Mila asked.

"so how does this work?"

"it works like this..." Mila trailed before taking a small knife, a candle and a lighter. She lit the candle and placed it between took the knife and asked Dani to place her hand in hers while she made a small cut.

And she started chanting something like..... Abdeckung der Duft!!! Abdeckung der Duft!!

" I thought you are a wolf, but what are you doing?" Dani asked scared. Suddenly this didn't feel like the best idea.

Mila didn't reply and was holding Dani's hand tightly.

Dani's eyes widened as realization hit her. " Oh Heavens you are a witch" she shrieked.
