It has been 28 years since I last saw victor, Gideon passed away 6 years ago. The only thing holding me here was my children. There was Grey my eldest and Victors only child, then we have Stella, lily, Luke, Christopher and Brayden they were all married with young of their own. I lived in the same home I did with my mates, but it was never the same after we lost Victor. Gideon was not the same. We were happy though incredibly happy, and we were looking forward to the day we could all walk the path to out eternal home together. It was almost my time I could feel mother calling to me.
I lived a good life; I was able to create 6 more moon children and we created thousands of new wolves. I was able to make a difference and I am happy. I can go home happy. I smiled at that thought while I looked out over the yard seeing all my grandchildren and some great grandchildren playing.
"Mom, are you doing alright?" I heard Grey ask as he placed his hand on my shoulder. He came over and sat next to me with a smile. I could help but smile he looked just like his father; he even had his grey eyes.
"Yes, my sweet boy I am okay, it’s almost time." I said with a smile as I looked back down at the family, we have created feeling whole again.
"Will you do me a favor mom?" grey asked
"Of course, son what is it?" I replied
"Will you tell dad I said hi?" he asked with a half-smile
"Yes, son I will. I love you." I said as I laid my head back agaisnt the chair.
Grey took my hand while he said "I love you mom; I will see you again. Be happy." I slowly drifted away, I no longer felt his hand in mine, I no longer heard the laughter of my family, the pain of losing the men I loved faded until it was to go.
"My sweet daughter." mother said as I turned to look at her, she embraced me before pulling back and saying " I am so proud of you, thank you for healing the scars. Now you can rest, they are waiting for you by the pond. I don’t think the know you have passed yet."
"Thank you, mother." I said as I walked towards the pond, that is when I saw them sitting with their backs to me laughing and pointing.
"Look at Markie run! You go get your brother!" Gideon yelled with happiness.
"Oh no I don’t think she can catch Paul he is to fast!" Victor said bumping Gideon with his elbow.
"I am home my loves." is all I said. They both sat up straight looking at each other first and then turning to see me. Tears flowed down Victor’s face as he jumped up and ran towards me scooping me up into his arms and pressing kisses all over my face. "I’ve missed you Victor. So much"
"I missed you my love. I have not stopped watching you journey and our son. He is such a good boy." he said through his tears.
"He is just like his father, good, kind and so loving. He was the one to send me off. He wanted me to tell you he says hello and he is looking forward to meeting you some day." I said with a smile.
Victor leaned down kissed me before placing my back on my feet. I turned to see Gideon smiling and waiting for me. I ran and jumped into his arms, he swung me around as he placed passionate longing kisses across my lips.
"I missed you so much. I love you." he said with a big smile
"I missed you too my love." I said before placing another kiss to his lips.
That is when I heard howling, looking down into the pond I saw my grey shifted and howling with so much pride, the rest of my children and our pack joined him. No one cried when I passed because they all knew I would be happy and that I am happy.
"Are you ready to go home now?" mother asked us
I smile and took their hands "Yes we are mother."
With that she opened doors covered in love green vines, we walked through into our eternal homes together.
Forever together.
