“Oh, Amy, you are home already,” mother said the moment she opened me the door. The current time is already past nine in the evening so I understand that I got her startled.
“Yes, Ma,” I answered and gave her a quick smile. I continued, “Is every one still awake?”
“Oh, yes…” mother responded with a wondering tone. “I thought you had your duty at S&TCS. You left home past five. But why you are already here? What happened?”
I chuckled softly before replying, “Yes, Ma, I went to S&TCS. But it was upon I made to there when I got informed that the coffee shop is closed for tonight. So here is me now, just got home.”
