Since our latest revelations, I was not going to be left unattended anytime soon. All of the pack warriors were on high alert, and they were bringing in an expert to examine the bracelet. We had to face the grim reality that this was an act of warfare on the part of the ruling vampire coven. There was also the matter of witch involvement that needed to be sorted out. For now, all of the negotiations were put on hold in favor of locking down the borders. So much for progress.
My school time bodyguard was now Taz- it was crazy to have his second in command babysitting me and Taz seemed as enthusiastic as I was about it. Her truthfully intimidated me. I just couldn’t get a read on him. Obviously, he must be a good guy for the guys to have chosen him as beta, but I hadn’t figured him out yet.
