Aric’s POV
Former Beta Mihir was sat across the table from us. Alec and dad were to my left and Thaddeus and a disheveled Omar on my right- we made for an intimidating panel. The former Beta was still sharp and strong- he was not tall, but her was bulky. His chocolate skin did not admit his age and his dark eyes were sharp as he took me in.
“We are very grateful you could come out to talk to us today,” I started- examining him.
He smiled broadly, “I am delighted you sought my council, Alpha Cain.”
“Please, call me Aric. Something interesting came up when I was talking with my grandparents, and I was hoping you could provide some insight.” I felt Alec shifting in his seat next to me. I know he would prefer a stronger approach, but I favored diplomacy.
