I woke up annoyed that my mates hadn’t insisted on staying with me last night. I could see they were trying not to smother me, but it made me doubt their interest in me, which was painful. I got dressed for school in my jeans and a fluffy purple sweater. I brushed my hair, but it was a disaster- messy bun day, I guess. I surveyed myself in the mirror, the blood vessel in my eye looked almost back to normal (thank you, wolf healing!) but there were still visible bruises on my fair neck. I frowned at them wishing I had some makeup I could use to try to cover the purplish shadows, but I didn’t really own any. I would see if Bria had some I could borrow when I got to school.
