Chapter 2

I finally made it to the university on time to get registered in. There were a lot of students outside campus, all different supernatural beings elves, dragon shifters, witches, warlocks, mermaids, vampires, demons (yes there are also good demons), and also werewolves. The bell rang for everyone to go to first period, thank god, cause I barely know anyone here. I wish that my best friend Ema was here but she got excepted in another university a few miles from here so I’ll have to get through the next 4 years of college by myself or so I thought. “Hey Amber!!” a familiar voice said behind me. I turned around to sit my second best friend Michael walk up to me with a big smile on his face.

“Hey there Michael how you've been you big nukelhead.” I said to him. Me, Ema and Michael have been friends since preschool and we have been close since. “Not much been here and there, a few places. The usual and you how have you been doing.” He asked me, while we started to walk inside the building. “Not much either, still trying to get almost everyone in our pack to stop using my sister as a punching bag, again.” I said sighing “there still at it with her?” He said with concern. Michael also likes to take care of my little sister to along with Ema. They both know that people pick on her because she's a runt, but they don’t and that is why I consider them as friends because they care for her.

“Yeah, yesterday Andrew started to beat her up because she bumped into him on accident making him drop his sandwich.” I said still angry at him for hurting my little sis.

“Seriously, he did that just for a stupid sandwich!!” he said get mad.

“Yep, but Brittney took care of him lets just hope he gets the message.” I said which I doubt considering he goes to the same middle school and in the same grade with him will my other three sisters are in high school sadly. “Anyway, you starting college to?” I asked changing the topic. Talking about Sophia only gets me more angry and upset.

“Yeah, I'm kinda nervous actually, but hey at least you’re here with me so I don’t get bored to death while we have our breaks.” He said and we started laughing and went to the reception to get our schedules. “So what career are you going to study here Michael.” I asked “mecanical engineering. You?” “video games design” what can I say, I always wanted to create my own games and characters. “Lucky” Michael muttered and I just laughed at him.

We went to our lockers and went our separate ways my first class was game editing in room 437, which is on the second floor. I went up the steps of the halls and saw a girl around my age looking for who knows what. “Hey do you need help with something?” I asked her. She turned around a bit startled until she composed herself.

She had red short straight hair with a tiny flower pin so that her hair doesn’t get in her face much. She’s wearing a long sleeved grey jacket with black sports jeans and white sneakers, it looks like she has ChapStick on and big green eyes and apparently she wears glasses.

“Ooh! Hi um… do you know where homeroom 437 is? I don’t know where it is exactly.” She asked me looking kind of nervous. “Oh I was just going there myself if you want we can go together.” I suggested. She hesitated for a moment before nodding, ‘she must be shy' my wolf Aurora said ‘I agree with the wolf' my fae midnight said. “well come on” I said to the girl in front of me and we started walking down the hall of the second floor.

“So you must be new here, right” I asked. “Yeah actually I just moved here with my parents. Mom said that it would be better if I got to know her coven better, to help me control my powers more.” She said. Oh she’s a witch so that explains her hair a little. “And what about you do you live here? I mean if you don’t what to answer that’s fine.” She asked a little nervous. “Yeah, I lived here all my life with my pack.” I said while stopping. The new girl stopped to turn around and face me, I pulled out my hand to shake when she flinched a little, I guess she might had been bullied in her other home town. “My name's Amber” I said. She looked a little embarrassed by her reaction cause she blushed with a shy smile on her lips and shook my hand “Jane.” She said “well Jane I guess this is the start of a new friendship” I said and we started to laugh while walking.

We finally made it to our class, when we opened the door the students were talking and chatting with one another, I guess the teacher was running late. Me and Jane decided to sit at the back next to the windows cause there were the only seats left. Once we sat down the teacher finally came “Sorry I'm late class, I had to run a few things before I came.” The teacher said and by the looks of it, he must be a dragon shifter. He has short black brown hair, grey eyes and thick plane lips. He's wearing a button up long sleeved shirt with a vest, navy blue skinny jeans and blue converse. “My name is professor Patrick Flarix and I'll be your teacher for game editing these semester” he said. The class went by smoothly, by then the bell rang for the end of first period “ok class for your homework I wanted you to investigate the step of editing a game for tomorrow and I don’t want any excuse is to why you did not finish it.” Prof Flarix said some of the class groaned in annoyed because we got homework on our first day at school, it’s funny actually.

Me and Jane walked out together and turns out, our lockers are next to each other so we can keep talking to each other ever day “hey Amber.” “hey Michy how was your first class.” I asked “it was ok I guess but it wasn’t the same without my best friend there.” Michael said with fake sadness “aww, cute.” I said while pinching his cheeks.

“Quit it…. Who's the new girl?" Mich said eyeing Jane up and down “oh this is Jane, she’s in my class. She just moved here from Louisiana with her parents and she’s a witch. Jane this is my best friend Michael who's also a werewolf.” I said introducing one another. “Hi Jane nice to meet you.” Mich said handing his hand out to shake “Nice to meet you to.” Jane said grabbing his hand shaking it lightly. Then all of a sudden Michael stiffened for some reason when he touched her. “Well look who it is. If it isn’t little miss nerdy wolf and her friend.” Said an familiar annoying voice I sadly know so well.

“What do you want Stacey?” I said annoyed. Stacey Walker aka miss I'm- better-then-you is the one of the popular girls and also the schools s**t. but not just in school but also her pack. She thinks she’s better than everyone because her dad's alpha of the Gold Flower pack and friends with the Alpha king, l mean come on my dad is an alpha and friends with the king to, but that doesn’t mean I should act like her and honestly I feel bad for Mr and Mrs Walker because they have a w**e for a daughter considering that there more nicer people. And I’m feeling even more sorry for the guy who will be mated to her.

“I just heard that there was a new girl in town and I just wanted to see what she looked like and what I can see.” She looked at Jane from head to toe “she’s a nerd just like you and your friends. Oops I mean friend cause the other loser isn’t here now is she.” She said with a smirk “well at least she doesn’t have to deal with you now considering that she kept beating you to a pulp.” I said when her smile fade on her face and was replaced with an angry frown. I just smirked and closed my locker while me and Jane were about to go to our next class, when Stacey said something that made my blood boil in rage “oh by the way, how's your shitty runt of a little sister doing, huh? Last time I saw her she was to scared to look at me when I..” she didn’t finish her sentence because of loud slap I gave across her face. I used all my wolfs and faes strength to which results on her falling to the ground with a load thud. She was holding her now red cheek while her eyes became glassy “don’t even think about saying s**t about my little sister like that again!!! And next time you ever lay a single finger on her it won’t be a slap you’ll be getting from me, b**h!!!” I said to her seeing red.

I grabbed Jane by the hand and dragged her to our next class. She didn’t say anything about what just happened or maybe she's waiting for me to calm down, in truth, I really need to calm down we came to our next class, which was a class of game coding. We got in and went to the back of the class. I finally calmed down a little when the class started our teacher was an elf whos name was professor Felix Phoenix. He looked to be in his late thirtys, he has long grey hair that is tide in a bun, two different eye colors (which is cool) the one on his left was a sea blue color and the one on the right was a grayish white color, he must be half dark elf to which is rare considering that dark elves and normal elves don’t like each other that much. He's wearing a plane white shirt with an image of a shark on it, yellow sports pants and black and white sneakers.

This class was actually kinda fun cause he would sometimes joke about somethings while teaching us on how to program are own little world on the computer. The bell rang for lunch break and me and Jane went to the cafeteria to find Michael so we can eat together. We found him sitting in an empty table and went to him with our trays in hand. “So who was that Stacey girl and what was she saying about a little sister of yours, who she says is a runt?” Jane asked. I know she'd want to know what that b**h Stacey said. “Wait Stacey was talking s**t about Sophi again?” Michael asked a little pissed about it to. He never liked Stacey because he didn’t want to sleep with her and because she talks about my sister like she’s dirt, which she is not.

“Yep after you left me and Janny here encountered with Stacey in the hall way. Oh and Jane the girl she was talking about was one of my sisters Sophia and yes she is a runt but not what that b**h said, my little sis is really a sweet gentle person who me and my other three sisters along with Michael protect because she’s a runt and people see her as weak.” I said while looking at my food a bit before eating. “Wow, you must care for her a lot, if you go b**h slapping that Stacey girl in the hall way.” She said in awe “ yeah I do” I said honestly

Sophia means the world to me and my sisters. She’s gentle, kind, sweet and caring when it comes to others, even though they treat her bad she still has the heart to help them out when it comes to their safety. “Wait, did you say you had other three sisters?” she asked surprised “Yep, I have four sisters in my pack.” I said proud of my sisters” “man you are so lucky, I'm just an only child.” And with that the three of us laughed. We kept on chatting about some stuff. I cought some glances to Michael to see him staring at Jane most of the time. I looked to Jane from Michael and back again until realization hit me. ‘OMG Michael, Jane is your mate!” I almost shouted through our mind link.

He blushed so hard he almost looked like a tomato and then he nodded. ‘yes she is but don’t tell her, please, I'll die of shame' he said through the link, the only thing I did was laugh at him ‘ok I won’t, but your gonna have to find a way to get her to except you and tell her that she’s your mate other wise she'll just think you’re a creepy weirdo.’ I said to him.

“Hey are you guys ok?” Jane asked once we were done “yeah why?” “cause you to were spaced out” “oh no we were just mined linking each other that’s all” I said while laughing on the inside. “Oh, so what were you guys talking about.” “Nothing!” Michael said a bit to loud making Jane flinch a little, ‘these two are just so cute together' Midnight said ‘I’m so happy for Michael, he deserves someone in his life' said Aurora. ‘Yeah he does’ I said to both of them. Maybe I'll find my mate in this school to. I wondered.

The rest of the day in school was good until it was time to go home. I can’t wait to see my sisters and I also want to see if Sophia is ok. “So I'll see you guys tomorrow?” Jane said once we got outside the building. “Yeah sure” I said. Not to long a car pulled up a few feet away from us “that’s my mom gotta go see you guys tomorrow.” Jane said waving us goodbye.

“Hey can you give me a lift back to the pack I came here running.” Michael said sheepishly “of course you did, come on you big dummy.” I said rolling my eyes. We got in my car and drove off to the pack that’s a few miles from college, thank goddess, reaching our territory I got a mind link from Willow ‘Amber are you home yet?’ she said, she sounded worried ‘I’m about to pull up in front of the pack house, why? What’s wrong?’ I asked her, having this terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. ‘Its Sophi, Andrew started to chase her from the pack house in to the woods. I don’t know what he planes to do to her, but I heard him say that it won’t hurt' and that’s when I started to see red again ‘l’ll be right there.’ I said cutting the link I pull up to the pack house and told Michael that I be right back “where are you going?” he asked me “to make sure that mother f**ker doesn't lay a single hand on Sophi” and with that I went running to the woods. I jumped in the air and shifted into my wolf and fae form. How is that possible? You may ask, well that’s the difference between my sisters and other hybrides is that our two halves fuse into one powerful being. My wolf, Aurora, is much bigger than that of an average alpha with a midnight blue fur color with tiny white spots that make it look like she’s covered in stars and she has deep blue eyes, while my fae, Midnight, has five navy blue tails and navy blue angle wings with a bit of white at the tips. She has long dark blue hair with light blue on the edges and long soft fur on her chest and light blue eyes.

But when it comes to a problem much bigger they fuse to make this creature I shifted to, a midnight blue wolf with angle wings and five tails with white on the tips and light blue eyes. We started running through the forest trying to catch a sound of where Sophi and that mother f**ker might be. That’s when I heard her scream of fear at the left side of the woods and started to run in the direction her screams came from. If that f**ker even thinks of touching her, he's dead.

When I finally made it to where Sophia scream what I saw in front of me made me see red again. He was on top of her kissing her half naked body while covering her mouth to stop her from screaming and Sophia tried to struggle to break loss of his grip but she was badly injured. I growled loud for him to hear and when he finally looked up I could see the fear he had in his eyes. Good he should be scared for what might happen next. He got off Sophi quick and started to back away. I growled at him, telling him to even try to get away from me, I was about to pounce on him and rip him to shredes, but Sophias crys of fear stopped me from doing so.

I turned around to see that she was hugging her knees close to her chest, crying so loud and shaking like crazy, just seeing her like that breaks my heart. When Andrew saw that I was distracted, he ran back to the pack house, I wanted to chase after him and kill him, but my priority right now is my little sister. I shifted back to human form and walk closely to my baby sis. “Sophi” I said quietly making sure not to scare her.

When she looked up and saw it was me, she got up quick and ran to me, she hugged me and started crying again. We started to get on our knees, she kept crying and I started to sooth her while making sure not to cry myself “Shshsh, it’s ok Sophi, it’s ok I'm here now, he won’t hurt you, it’s ok.” I cooed calming her. She’s so fragile and so scared of everything that I don’t know how she will do once she finds her mate or if she ever finds him. ‘Willow, Daphne, Brittney and Michael came to the west side of the forest ASAP’ I said to them through the mind link

‘We're on our way' Michael replied and cut off the link “Sophi can you tell me what happened sweetheart?” I asked her calmly, she was still shaking and her face was full of dried tears, it looked like she didn’t want to talk about it but she decided to tell me anyway “I-I w-as g-going to m-m-my ro-om w-when I-I g-got ho-me f-from sc-school t-to d-d-do m-my ho-homew-work b-b-but A-andr-rew b-blocked m-my w-way. I-i-I as- asked h-him i-if h-h-he co-uld l-let m-m-me g-go t-o m-my ro-room bu-t h-he s-s-said th-that h-he wa-wasn't go-going t-to an-and he gr-grabbed me an-and st-art-ed t-o to-touch me.” She crocked.

“An-and h-he sta-started t-to k-k-kiss m-my ne-neck s-so I p-p-pushed h-im a-away f-f-from m-me a-and i-I r-r-ran he-here, b-b-but he-he tr-traped me a-and g-ot o-on t-top o-of m-m-me. I-I tr-tried-d to p-p-push h-him o-of-f of m-me b-but I-I wa-wasn't str-stronge in-inof. I-I sc-screamed f-f-for he-help an-and th-then he-he sl-slapped m-me a-and h-e r-r-ripped m-m-my cl-clothes o-off an-and he almost….almost.” and then she started to cry again. I can’t believe that basterd would do this to her. Once the others came, she was still crying her heart out “Sophia!!!” they said in unison “oh sweet goddess what happened to you baby sis?!” Willow asked with so much pain “That basterd nearly r***d her!” I said angrily, they all gasped at what I said. “That mother f**ker is so dead once I get my hands on him!!” Brittney said fuming from anger. “We'll deal with him later, but right now our one priority is Sophia” I said looking down at Sophi.

She was still trembling. “Amber’s right” Daphne said “we’ll deal with that i***t later, but right now we need to make sure Sophi recovers and who knows how long that will take.” “Michael can you carry Sophia back to the pack house,please?” I asked. He picked her up bridal style and started to walk back to the packhouse. Once out of the woods people started looking at us then to Sophia

“Looks like the runt got what she deserved” someone said

“Pathetic little wolf couldn’t defend herself, it's obvious she’s useless to this pack.” A woman said

“SHUT IT!!” I shouted having enough of their bullshit. “IF I EVER HEAR YOU MOTHER F**KERS EVEN SAY A SINGLE WORD ABOUT MY SISTER OR IF ANY OF YOU EVEN THINKS TO LAY A HAND ON HER YOUR DEAD!! DID I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!!” I shouted to them. They all flinched and bowed their heads in submission. Good, these idiots need to learn that if they mess with Sophia, they mess with us to.
