Chapter 4

Ambers POV.

I woke up to a great day, well not so great after what happened yesterday with Sophia and that i***t. But for some reason I feel a little excited for college today, well Aurora and Midnight have been more excited, because the haven’t stopped passing. ‘Hey, are you two ok, you guys are restless that it’s giving me a headache’ I said to them which is true. ‘sorry Amber, it’s just that me and Aurora have a feeling something is going to happen once we get to campus.’ Midnight said excited. ‘Really, then lets get ready for school already so we can see what might happen.’ I said cutting them off and headed for the shower to get squeaky clean.

Once I’m done cleaning myself, I went back to my room to put some clothes. I put on a laced blue bra with a matching underwear. I decided to put on a short sleeved blue blouse with a cute dark blue roses on it, light blue skinny jeans and for the final touch a pair of purple short heel boots with a pretty black rose on them. I decided to let my hair down, cause it makes me look more beautiful with the outfit. I put on some lipgloss to make my lips shine a bit, satisfied I grab my backpack and got out my room. I went to Sophia’s room first to see how she is, I knocked on her door and heard her winter a bit “Sophi? It’s me Amber can I come in?” I asked gently “y-yes” she said almost like a whisper. I went inside to see her next to her bed hugging her knees to her chest while hiding her face. “ I came to see how you are doing today. Do you want to come and eat with the others downstairs?” I asked her softly.

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. Seeing her like this is painful for me to see my little sis being treated like garbage, because she isn’t like the others. “hey” I said softly, kneeling to face her properly. Her pretty baby pink eyes are filled with so much pain and sadness that it makes me want to cry because she isn’t happy. “Don’t let the other wolves words get to you. You are not worthless, nor weak or ugly and what happened to mom was not your fault, you know she gave up her life so that you can live happily. And the reason you’re like this is because your special and beautiful for being you sweet, kind, gentle, and an amazing artist in your own way, I mean just look at the diaromas you make just by looking at nature or from your imagination. So don’t let anyone tell you that your no good and if they do, go tell Brittney to beat them up.” And with that she giggled, my little sister giggled for once.

I gave her hug and whipped her tears. Pulling her up we went downstairs and to the kitchen where the others are. They turned to us and smiled once they saw Sophia with me, but dads smile looks kinda forced, I wonder why “Hey Sophi how's our little sister doing” Willow asked first “I-i'm fine Amber c-came and gave me a little in-incouraging.” She responded barely stuttering. ‘I'm so proud of her' Midnight said and Aurora grunted in agreement ‘so am I’ I said to bother of the “well now since we're all here, Amber why don’t you start eating so you can go to school soon.” Dad said suddenly ‘whats gotten in to him' Aurora said ‘yeah his been acting kinda weird when Sophia comes to the room' Midnight said. I never noticed that my dad ever acted strange when Sophi's in the same room with us till now, I wonder why? “Actually dad, I think I’ll eat at school today. So Brittney, Daphne and Willow, you three are going to pick Sophia up from school.” I said to my three sisters. Not really telling my dad, something tells me that I shouldn’t trust him with picking Sophi up from school. I don’t know why, I just do. “yeah of course we while Sophia’s safety is our top priority as well.” Daphne said “ok so I see you all later bye dad, bye girls, bye baby sis” I said hugging Sophi and giving her a goodbye kiss on the cheek before going out to my car.

On my way to school Midnight and Aurora were restless again when I parked in the parking lot ‘hey are you two sure your ok, you guys have been acting up since we left the house.’ I said to them, I know they said something was going to happen at school but I still don’t know what. ‘Don't worry about us just leave the car already.’ Aurora almost shouted ‘ok, touchy.’

I got out of my car to be only hit with the most mouth watering scent, dark chocolate and mint, I wonder what it is. Shrugging I closed the door and locked my car. I started walking away from it when that smell hit me again this time it was a bit closer, when I looked in front of me I was surprised to see a really handsome guy almost standing close to me. And that is when the scent hit me again.

‘MATE, MATE, MATE!!’ both my fae and my wolf said in unison.

My mate! I can’t believe that this gorgeous hunk is my mate and by goddess he is hot. He has short messy brown hair, a diamond like head and soft pale skin and lips, he's wearing plane gray v-neck shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and red sneakers. But what most cought my attention are his sea green eyes, my goddess they are breath taking.

“Mine” he said. I was about to say yes, but then a very familiar s**t came into view along with the other two mother f**kers of my pack Nathan and Zack trailing behind her. “Drake babe, why did you stop all of a sudden, you were going to teach this b**h a lesson messing with the soon to be future queen of the werewolf kingdom.” Wait, what did she just say?! Drake, as in the Drake King, the alpha kings man w**e of a son. The guy who is my mate standing right in front of me is the playboy Drake King.

And what did that b**h say, that she is the future queen of the werewolves. This guy definitely has something wrong in his brain thinking that this s**t is going to do anything for the other werewolves except making sure the get her what she wants. I looked back glaring at my so called mate. His color drained from his face when Stacey said that will looking at me, he even stiffened. “Oooh sure, teach me a lesson on how I shouldn’t mess with the b**h who not only insulted my friends and my little sister, but also the w**e who will cause the down fall of all werewolves because she cares only for herself.” I said crossing my arms with so much sarcasm, while still glaring at my mate. All he did was look down in shame. Good he deserves it for being such an i***t. “How dare you talk about me that way you b**h” Stacey said fuming from her mouth. She came a bit closer and raised her hand to slap me, but I caught it midair and twisted her arm on her back dropping her on the floor in pain “next time you better think twice before even slapping me s**t.” I said to her and walked away from them and my mate. I just hope I don’t see him again.

Drakes POv

I can’t believe my mate just twisted Staceys arm and dropped her on the floor, that was just wow. But everything that she said to Stacey and the way she was looking at me when she found out who I was, disgust and angry of the things I did just made me feel ashamed of it ‘and you should be, you d**k' Brock said disappointed. ‘alright I get it you don’t have to remind me about it’ I said to him before cutting him off. “Drake!” and here comes the one who almost slapped my mate. “Why didn’t you say anything when that b**h insulted me or when she almost broke my arm?!” Stacey said pissed that I didn’t defend her.

“Why would I say something about the things she said when some of it was true and for not doing anything for defending herself when you wanted to slap her.” I said shrugging and walking away from a shocked Stacey and amused Zack and Nathan.

I want to the reception to get my schedule for the classes of videogame design and my locker combination and a map for the class rooms. Once I got out the others caught up to me “dude what just happened back there with Stacey? And why the sudden change in personality?” Zack asked

“Cause I didn’t like the way she was talking to her and also, what was the thing about her insulting that girls little sister?” I asked a bit curious to learn a little bit about my mate, starting with the fact that she has a sister. “Dude her sister is the runt that my little bro was going to mess with if it wasn’t for her.” Nathan said, pissed at my mate, which I have no idea why.

“Yeah her and her other three sisters always ruin the fun for us when it comes to her, cause there super overprotective of her, honestly I don’t know why their choosing the runt instead of their pack, I mean she’s worthless.” Said Zack real mad. Wait, what did he just say. “Wait, did you say sisters she has more then one?” I asked amazed and surprised. Then both nodded at that. The bell rang for first period to start, so me and the guys go our separate ways. I can’t believe my mate has four sisters. I wonder what the look like and what I heard about her little sister, it sounded like they really care about her.

I went up the stairs to the second floor where my first class that is game editing is at and look to find room 437. Once on the second floor I smell my mates scent here, she must be close. I followed the scent to the same class I was looking for, ‘she’s studying the same thing we are Brock!’ I said happy that me and my mate have the same dream of becoming videogame designers.

‘Well what are you waiting for i***t?! go in there so we can be with her!’ Brock said

I calmed down a bit cause I got nervous and walked in the class to see everyone chatting, looks like the teacher was running a bit late apparently. I scanned the room and saw my mate sitting in the back talking to a red head with glasses. I went to sit in a chair in the second row of the back a little bit farther from where my mate was sitting.

Once I sat down the teacher, who is a dragon shifter, came in. He looked at me then said “good morning everyone sorry again for being late. But apparently we have a new student joining use today. Would you please come up and introduce yourself.” He said gesturing me to come up. I walked to the front of the class and faced everyone. “Hi, my name is Drake King, I’m 19 years old and I'm a werewolf and I'm hoping to be able to get along with everyone.” I said. I looked at my mate and it looked like she couldn’t believe I was here, which hurt. “Alright, you may sit down now.” The teacher said. I went back to my sit and the teacher started talking.

I'm gonna have to think of a way to talk to her.

Ambers POV

I saw Jane and Michael talking to each other next to our lockers, looks like some ones finally got the courage to talk to her. I went to them trying, to be sneaky. “Hey what are you guys talking about.” I asked when I got to them, Jane was blushing and Michael looked embarrassed for some reason and it dawned on me “No way!! Michy you told her already?” I asked and they both nodded “OMG!! So when are you guys going to start dating?” “Calm down Amber, we decided that we are just going to stay friends for now, you know, and we'll see if we want to go farther then that, right Jane?” Michael said while looking at Jane and she just nodded shyly, still blushing.

“I totally understand, besides, you guys have the whole semester to get to know each other, right?” “Right” they both said. Me and Jane decided to head to class early before the bell, well I decided, cause I want to go know what my to friends said to each other. We got there a few minutes and went to our sits “Ok so tell me how did he tell you that you and him are mates?” I asked excited. “Well I don’t know how to say it, but I also knew that he was my soulmate to, actually.” I didn’t noticed that the bell rang until the other students came in, but I was to shocked to even blink. “I can’t believe it, you knew, but how and when?” I asked even more excited to know. “Well it was yesterday when you introduced use to each other, when we shook hands I felt the sparks and I could tell he did to. And at lunch I still felt him staring at me but I decided to brush it off because I thought he was just a weirdo.” She said blushing in embarrassment. I heard the door open and that it was the teacher, but the smell of dark chocolate and mint hit my nose. Oh no, please tell me that he's not studying the same thing I am. “Hey are you ok?” Jane asked.

“Huh? Yeah I’m ok. So keep talking how did you find out he was your soul mate?” I asked changing the topic “Ok so when we saw each other at break, I saw this type of shimmer coming from him, I thought it was just my imagination that was playing tricks on me so I ignored it, until I got home and told my mom about it.” She asked blushing again, she reminds me of Sophi a little, cause she also looks adorable blushing. “So, what did your mom tell you?” I asked patiently, she blushed even more, cute, “well.. She said that those were the signs of finding your soulmate and a few hours ago before you came he told me that I was his mate and he looked kinda nervous about it, but I told him that..I already knew that.” She said.

“Well I’m happy for you two and trust me, Michael is the nicest person I know and he'll always protect people he cares about.” I said honestly, cuz he does the same for Sophia. Just then the teacher came in “good morning everyone sorry again for being late. But apparently we have a new student joining use today. Would you please come up and introduce yourself.” He said, suddenly a very familiar guy that was sitting in the empty seat on the left end of the second row stood up and walked to the front of the class. Please tell me it's not him. But to my luck when he turned around it was definitely him “Hi, my name is Drake King, I’m 19 years old and I’m a werewolf and I’m hoping to be able to get along with everyone.” He said. Of all the god damn things to study in this school he has to choose videogame design.

When he looked at me, I guess he saw my facel expressen, cuz he looked hurt. “Alright, you may sit down now.” Prof. Flarix said. He went back to his seat, while the teacher began the class. Once class was over me and Jane decided to head to our next class, but I told Jane that I needed to use the restroom, so she went ahead without me. I finished doing my business and started to wash my hands, until Stacey walked in with some new friends. When she looked at me she smirked “Oh look if it isn’t the b**h who thinks she’s to perfect.” She said and her little bimbo friends laughed like it was the funniest thing they heard “I don’t have time for your stupidity right now Stacey I'm late for class.” I said rolling my eyes at her.

I was going to walk out when she said “Oh, by the way, I heard from Nathan that he’s brother almost slept with your little sister, who knew that she was also a s**t?” she said and with that, I grabbed her by the neck and pinned her on the floor, almost choking her. “you ever say that about my sister again and I'll cut your tongue out of your disgusting mouth, b**h.” I said fuming from my mouth and letting her go and walking out of there. I went around the corner and leaned against the wall and put my hands on my face, trying to calm my angry tears from falling. Why can’t they just leave Sophia alone? She never did anything to anyone. Why are they being so cruel to her?

‘Come on Amber, you know how some people are, the pick on those they think are weak and look insignificant to them.’ Midnight said ‘she’s right Am, they'll always think that their better and they'll just keep picking on her. The only thing we can do is be by her side and protect her the best way we can.’ Their both right, they'll never change the only thing we can do now is to care and protect our little sister until she finds her mate so that he can protect her as well.

I was about to go to class,until it felt like I hit a wall and fell. I waited for the impact that never came and felt arms around my waist feeling the sparks that went through my body. I opened my eyes and came face to face with my mate, Drake King.
