The voice echoed in my mind long after I'd opened my eyes.
"The network is evolving, James. And you're evolving with it."
I sat in the chair, my body shaking, my mind reeling. Freya was standing over me, her face pale, her eyes filled with concern.
"James," she said. "Are you okay? What happened?"
I shook my head. "I spoke to them. The other networks. They said I'm becoming something more."
"Something more?" Freya stared at me. "What does that mean?"
I looked at her. "I don't know. But I think I need to find out."
