“Are you ready?” Cellan asks Katherine and he hugs her close to him one more time.
“Yes.” She nods and peels herself from him. She gazes out over the walls and streets of Lorren and she smiles at her guide. Kathy looks a lot like her brother, Ariston and she knows they could have been great friends.
“Be careful. I don’t know if I can be close enough to hear your thoughts.” Cellan brushes a lock of her hair behind her ear and she smiles at him.
“I trust you.” She says. “And we have spies all over the town. They can alert you if something goes wrong.”
She walks briskly away from Cellan and she steels her mind and pulls up her walls the way he taught her. She wishes she would have the time to see the town properly, it looks inviting to her. But she can’t, she is on a mission here, so she
