Who said life is all roses and sunshine up here in the castle Eiry? Katherine gets to experience the down side this morning. She wakes up with a bad feeling, but she can’t name it. The sun is coming up and the sky looks rosy. A day just like every other since she came up here. But there is something wrong, she can feel it.
She gets dressed fast and runs out in the hallway. The silence is eerie this morning. It’s never so quiet. She runs to the kitchen and Lory is there as always, bread in the ovens and churning butter.
