Lear went to see his sister and discovered her room empty, so he is currently climbing the hundred stairs to the top of the tower. If she’s nowhere in the castle, she is probably up there with Lord Cellan. He has to congratulate the dragon Prince, he couldn’t have chosen a better person to rule Loredan than Katherine. Now Lear has all his hopes resting on the dragon’s plan to overthrow their father and make Katherine the new Queen.
He comes around the corner on the top of the stairs to find Katherine and Lord Cellan engaged in a swordfight.
