Chapter 2: Level Up

Ding! [All the coins have been transferred to your balance.] [Current Balance: 100,000 Coins] A wide, devilish grin stretched across Ron’s face as he stood tall, hands outstretched like a dramatic anime villain. "Hahahaha! Hahahahaha! I’m the only male who dominates this Coin World!" he declared, voice echoing like thunder over an empty stage. Moments later, he landed—not gracefully, mind you—on a completely lifeless wasteland. Sandstorm winds howled like angry ghosts, and the ground cracked dry like it hadn't seen water in a thousand years. The closest sign of life? Probably 300 kilometers away... and even that might’ve been a mirage. Sweat clung to his skin, but his smirk didn’t fade. He quickly opened his shimmering system panel with a slick swipe. Ding! [You have spent 500 Coins.] [You are building a Barrier.] [Size: 10 Meters Radius] [Next Upgrade: 20 Meters] [Need 1,000 Coins to Upgrade] Barrier Facilities Available: Unlimited Water Supply (Can be built) Temperature Control (Only decreases heat, sorry Snowmen) A Construction Robot A metallic "ding-ding" echoed above as a tiny, chubby round robot zoomed into view with stubby hands and tiny jet-feet. If cuteness could build a house, this bot could erect a city. “Hello, owner,” it greeted, hovering in front of Ron like a proud toaster with arms. “I am your assistant in construction. I can build anything—custom or classic. You command, I construct!” Ron squinted against the desert heat. “Place the barrier first. I can’t hold my breath forever out here.” “As you ordered!” The robot zoomed into the sky and stretched out its tiny hands. From its metal palms, a beautiful transparent blue bubble shimmered into existence, gently floating down and sealing itself onto the cracked earth like a soap bubble kissed by magic. Under the sunlight, the barrier sparkled, and Ron stepped inside with relief, tossing his bag onto the dusty floor like he was claiming territory. He popped open his system again. “Tap first. Survival basics, then we shop till I drop.” He tapped the Domain Bar and immediately spotted a Level 1 Water Tap marked as free. Jackpot. But as he scrolled down—everything else was locked tighter than a noblewoman’s diary. “Hmph. Emergency level barrier, huh? Looks more like a camping starter kit,” he muttered. Not one to waste time, Ron tapped into the Coin Rate Bar. [User Name: Ron] [Coin Rate: 0.1C/Day] (Level Up Available) [Need 1 Coin to Level Up] [Current Balance: 98,800 Coins] “I already spent 200 coins just to get here,” he mumbled. “Might as well gamble on this.” He raised his finger like a god descending from the clouds and tapped Level Up. Ding! [You have spent 1 Coin.] [Your Coin Rate has increased.] [Current Coin Rate: 0.5C/Day] [Next Upgrade Cost: 5 Coins] [Current Balance: 98,799] Ron blinked. “Wait... it multiplied by five?” “Hehehehe,” he chuckled, rubbing his palms like a man about to flip real estate in his dreams. “I’m gonna be so rich.” Click. Click. Click. He went full maniac mode. Ding! [You have spent 5 Coins.] [Coin Rate: 1C/Day] [Next: 25 Coins] [Balance: 98,794] Ding! [You have spent 25 Coins.] [Coin Rate: 2C/Day] [Next: 50 Coins] [Balance: 98,769] Ding! [You have spent 50 Coins.] [Coin Rate: 4C/Day] [Next: 75 Coins] [Balance: 98,719] Ding! IT’S REAL!” Ron howled, laughing like a man possessed. “I’m gonna be the richest man on this planet! No—this universe!” Ding! [You have spent 150 Coins.] [Coin Rate: 32C/Day] [Next: 450 Coins] [Balance: 98,394] Ding! [You have spent 450 Coins.] [Coin Rate: 64C/Day] [Next: 750 Coins] [Balance: 97,944] Ding! [Seriously, you’re broke now.] Ron sighed and leaned back like a gambler who finally hit the table limit. His eyes scanned the desert—dry, lifeless, endless. “Someday,” he whispered. “Someday I’ll turn all of this... into my palace.” He clenched his fist, a fire lighting in his gaze. He dreamed of green meadows, trees rustling in the breeze, the smell of freshly grown herbs in the morning. “I’ll become a farmer,” he declared, loud and proud, like he was founding a kingdom of crops. Then he clicked on Domain Upgrade. Ding! [You have spent 1,000 Coins.] [Barrier Size: 20 Meters Radius] [Balance: 25,194] Click! [You have spent 2,500 Coins.] [Barrier Size: 50 Meters Radius] [Balance: 22,694] [Can’t upgrade more than this.] Apparently, even the system had boundaries. Ron nodded. “Guess it wants me to earn it the hard way.” The shimmering bubble expanded like a rising sun, slowly blooming out until it covered a solid 100-meter diameter of land. The blue glow sparkled against the dusty terrain like a promise of something greater. He simply smiled. “This is far more than enough... for now.” Opening his system again, Ron tapped the Domain Bar, eyes gleaming. “Let’s get to work.”
