Chapter 11

SIAN's POV

Now it's been one month I have started to work for "Sydney The Great Constructions"....

On very first day at my work place I happened to sacrify two of my most valuable and heart touchable things which were gifted by my mom and Max. That made a deep sorrow in my heart. When my mom asked about the blazer I happened to lie without looking at her. And even she doesn't know that I'm working as a maid-servant for 'Sydneys'... I don't know what would be happened if she came to know about it.....

And the watch; it was mended on very day. Though it is visible as a broken one, still I do wear. The things which are so close to your heart can never be erased or distracted from you how unlike the way they look now than the earlier.

The actions of some people may lead you to hate or dislike them for a long or small period of time. But after some time, that will descend unto some extent spontaneously. But it's not normal for me with the most arrogant man I have seen in my life Mr.Peculiar. The hatred I have towards him will never be lessened; it has gone up rather than it was.....

Last month it was really a hard time for me with Mr:Emrys Parker; being his maid-servant... Urggh!!

I know you guys can understand how I may have gone through that.... 

Oh God! how I hate to remind those freaking things...

The time I spent with Gwen and Melissa made my mind relief and happy. Because they gave such a support to me. Melissa is 24; one year elder than me whilst Gwen is 22; one year younger than me. Both of them didn't consider me as one of low level employees in their company, but as one of their close friends.... They always found time to chat with me and share the things with me. Most of the times we met in the cafeteria during our lunch break. We got to know about our families and backgrounds... 

Mind this! I didn't reveal anything related to my past...

During our weekends we went outings and did shopping. Even Jenny also joined us and she was a real matching for my so called other two friends. And also I happened to go to Mia's drama rehearsals as I had promised her. The due day of Drama Function was postponed due to some issues in her school.

And mean time, Kelly the Assistant of Mr:Emrys Parker was so closer to us. She was a little bit nervous about the paper works. So when I got time I was always there to give my hand her. I helped her to solve the problems sometimes she had with the documentary things. She is really an innocent and cute girl than she seemed. She has become more beautiful than she was. When I see her, it always makes me remind of my little sister Mia. But she never shares her personal things with us. When we ask about her family then she always tries to avoid that question. So, that made some kind of a strange feeling towards her. Even we had not known where she is coming from or an apartment she lives in now. But apart from that she is a good girl.

And I must say, I didn't see Mr:Sydney Parker aka Mr: Emrys' dad more than one month; that means since I came to work here. Some said it was due to his bad health condition.

I was really worried. Because he was the one who hired me. I came to know that he is such a good and humble person who always cares about his employees.

Not like Mr:Peculiar.

On that thing Mr:Emrys Parker is different than his father. He is not a person who tolerates waiting. He always expects the things to be happened in a quick move and even does not give a damn care about the others. No one dares to talk in front of him despite his dad, friend JD and his brother. And even Callum he is a straight person. Once I was amazed to see that he was having guts to speak up in front of Mr.Parker.

A real gentleman!

The thing I noticed in Callum was he is a very decent man who talks politely and who owns a good dashing look like; 

Umm Mr.Parker...

But he is something more than Callum. Yeah.... He is the most handsome man among all the men in his company which proves apparently that he is the number sexy businessman in New York...

No...

Beyond the handsome...

No one can get reached unto his personality and looks that he has brought from his birth. All the pairs of women's eyes always bulge in their sockets, every time when he walks in or out of the company. That reaction obviously speaks up on behalf of his dashing look and gives a crystal clear example about him being held the Top King of the list of the S**iest CEOs in USA. 

But I think like me, everyone knows him as a womanizer...

But Callum, he is so different than the other men I have met in my life. He is not a flirty one... Either he has never taken a topic out about girls with us or had never intended to tease at girls. Some times he gets blushed when Gwen or Mel say something regarding girls...

Wait woman! Then is he a g**? 

Oh no! 

No if he was that type, then why should he get blushed when we talk about girls? 

It must be on boys....right?

No he is a good gentleman.

Sian... What are you thinking girl?

Even now you have started to think these rubbish things, being with Gwen and Mel...

Side effects....

Crazy guys... 

I smiled to myself.

"Hey Sian.... Please can you do me a favor?" I was startled when I heard a sudden voice while I was in the pantry arranging the morning coffee for Mr.Parker...

"Hey Kelly! Is it you? Good morning! What is it?" I exclaimed.

"I have some problems regarding these documentaries... Can you please help me out?" Kelly said showing some files in her hand. It's time for me to take Mr.Parker's coffee.. I know if I didn't bring this coffee on time he would bark at me. All the day will drive me crazy. And even Kelly is one of my best friends I have known after I came here.

So what can I do now?

I pondered for a while.

"Well... Kelly after I delivered this coffee, I will definitely help you.. Right...?" I said pinching her rosy cheeks.

"Oh come on Sian. Sir is not coming today. So you needn't to be worried." She said looking away while arranging the cups and other things I had already taken out.

"What? Sir is not coming?" My eyes popped out... She gave a exclaiming look at me.

"I was not informed..." I said with amusement.

"Why? Does Mr:Parker call you or send texts regarding his presence or absence?" She exclaimed with amusement. I felt the eagerness she was having to know my next words.

"No no.. It's not that. Gwen, Callum or Mel didn't even tell me about it.. That's what I meant." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh... Is it? Well. They may have forgotten.. Then can you please come and help me out Sian?"

She asked with puppy eyes.

"Yeah..Sure.." I said snapping my hands in the air. Then I followed her to her cabin. I placed myself on her seat while she was just standing and peeping into the papers as we always did when I was in her cabin to help her. Then I explained the things and tried to make her convince how to unravel the things she had twisted up.

"Now you got it?" Finally I asked.

"Yeah.... Wow Sian! you are a genius right?" Kelly said tapping on my shoulder.

"Ohoh...Is it?" I said lifting my one eyebrow up and bursting into a loud laughter..

And at the same time the door to Kelly's Cabin flew open and there was he, Mr:Parker standing shoving both his arms deep into his pockets. His brow suddenly crumpled like the waves of sea.

What? He is here...? 

My eyes went wide and I thought they were fallen out of their sockets for a while.

"Is this the place you are supposed to be?" He asked in a rough voice. Suddenly I stood up from Kelly's seat and gave a killing look at her. She averted her eyes away from mine to Mr:Parker.

"What the hell are you thinking of yourself? Mind only your own business! Or else your salary will be cut off and you will have to run the rest whole months without a single penny. Now go get my coffee... And Kelly come to my office right now!" Like a reckless wind he came in and stomped angrily out of the cabin.

What the?

"I'm sorry. I thought he was going for his site visits..." Kelly turned to my side and murmured through her red lips while fluttering her eyelashes; then paced out.

She is really crazy.

Why did she tell that sir would not be coming today?

Hmm... May be it was a mistake.

Then I came out of her cabin to the pantry and engaged myself again in the coffee making session.

I was really amused at the thing that he never insulted my coffee...

I thought to myself while arranging and pouring the coffee into the cup.

It was another day at my working place. I was somewhat happy that Mr:Parker didn't insult me or did any wicked thing in front of Kelly. But his rude words, they were at the same position like they always were.

The day was going good. I didn't have much work in the morning time and in that time I peeped into the cabins of Gwen or Mel and arranged their files and documents. They really did refuse it. But me never listened. When I engage in any work, that sends my pain away.

During the lunch hour we all gathered in the cafeteria and enjoyed a wonderful lunch listening to the unstoppable earfuls and claver of Mel and Gwen. It was after the lunch break, I was coming out of the washroom suddenly I bumped into someone. I lifted my eyes to see a stranger in front of me.

There a blue-eye blonde was looking at me. I had never seen him before in this company.This is the first time I saw him here. "Um I'm sorry.. I didn't see you." I said.

"Beautiful!" he said instead a reply.

"Excuse me?"

"Um... I mean the clip in your hair.."

"What? Clip." My fingers traveled on to my hair and I felt it there.

Oh gosh! Mia. She was the one who clipped this in my hair when I was already late for work.

This man was looking at me with a smirk now.

"Thank you. And I have got to go now." I avoided him and was about to glide my next step, at once he covered one side of me keeping his left hand on my right side of the wall.

"Wait girl! How can I let 'The most beautiful girl of the day' go that easily even without knowing her name." He said looking into my eyes.

What has got into the mind of this man?

"I think it's better if you stop teasing." I said it in a bit angry mood.

"Ops! You are blushing! It's beautiful even when you are in angry mood." He said twitching up into a small grin.

"Stop it...!" I said in a rough voice. Suddenly he chuckled and removed his hand on my side.

"Hey girl were you scared? I was just kidding... Are you working here? Nice to meet you." He extended his right hand towards me. "By the way I'm...." suddenly his words were cut off by a voice came next to us...

"Sian... There's a meeting for the staff...Come let's go. Hurry up girl!" Gwen shouted hurriedly.

"Yeah I'm coming. Excuse me." I dragged myself away from him towards Gwen.

"Always bad alarm." He said shrugging his shoulders.

Thank god for saving me from this stranger.

"Hey Sian..Who's that guy?" Gwen exclaimed looking back again.

"I don't know... Just now I met him..."

"Really? Handsome. And one thing I saw in his eyes..."

"What? What did you see?" I asked tugging my hair strands behind my ears.

"He was looking at you in a strange way."

"What? Are you crazy?" I asked lifting my brows up.

"No I saw it.. something like love."

"You are really crazy Gwen.. Can love appear just in a second?" I laughed at her words.

"Why not? It can be appeared anytime." She said in a serious tone.

"But we cannot believe in love. It gives only pain..." My mind went back to my past, but suddenly I shook my thoughts off from my mind. "By the way, what is this meeting? Do you think I will be needed there?" I asked Gwen averting her attention away from the topic we were arguing about now.

"Yeah... Why not girl? You are also one of our staff. Everyone should go there. Right?"

After a few seconds we came into the conference room. Almost everyone was gathered up there and we both came hurriedly and sat beside Mel and Kelly. Callum was sitting behind us and Alex also was there, she waved her hand to me.

"Hey what's this meeting for?" Mel asked from Gwen.

"No idea." Gwen said.

"What about you Sian?" 

I shrugged my shoulders as I also had no idea what it was about.

Then suddenly the door was open and Mr:Sydney Parker, Mr:Emrys Parker, Mr:Ethan Parker and Mr:Jayden Bradford entered in a gentle manner... Some other executive level officers also were following them.

Happy to see Mr:Sydney Parker after more than one month. 

Suddenly a smile spread over my lips.

Then I could see Mr:Emrys Parker was standing proudly in front the podium having leaned down onto the microphone.

"Good afternoon dear ladies and gentlemen.. I know, you all are surprised at this sudden meeting... Well... I'll directly come to the point... After a long discussion, me and our Management Crew have taken a decision to establish a Health & Welfare Association for the further betterment of you. I know this was totally restricted before due to our company rules. As the CEO of this company, I always hope to give the best things for you. And this is another step that we are looking forward to take. I hope you all will be happy to hear this...." When Mr:Parker paused his long speech for a while, there came a big applause and he just nodded as an acceptance. Again he continued.

"Well.. I would like to give you the opportunity of selecting the office bearers.." Then suddenly there was mutterings and whispers.

"That's really a good thing." Mel murmured to us.

After a while,

"I think you may have selected or decided the most appropriate, suitable and qualified ones for the betterment of your future.. Now it's your high time. Please be obliged." He stopped and gave the staff opportunity to raise their voices.

"Um... I would like to appoint Miss.Sian Anderson as the President of our Health & Welfare Association." My eyes bulged in their sockets when my name poured out from Callum's words. It took my whole life to process what he just said.

Oh god! What did this guy really do?

Holy Cr*p!

Mel, Gwen and Kelly turned towards me with widened eyes. 

"That's so great! Best of luck Sian." They squeezed my hand. Kelly was just looking at me.

"Miss:Sian Anderson...." Mr:Parker repeated my name. "Who is Sian Anderson.? Can you please stand up." He said rolling his eyes over every staff member.

"Stand up girl!" Gwen and Mel urged me to get on my feet.

Callum! Be ready! After this meeting you won't be able to sit.

I will kick your ass off your body. i***t!

At last I stood up. All the pairs of eyes were glued onto me. Again there were mutters and whispers. When my face shifted front there I caught up my eyes with those hazel eyes which were staring at me with amusement.

My body froze at the thought of what would his next reaction be like.

He had never known what my real name is.

Because I was always called by his created names like Miss.Goofy, B****, maid-servant etc etc:

Sarcasm crept into me.

Mr:Sydney Parker and even Mr:Ethan Parker were looking at me with their smiling faces.

"Ahem..." suddenly Mr:Peculiar cleared his throat and turned to the mike. "Well.. Mr.Smith.. How do you say that she is the most suitable one for this post?"

Darn it!

Here comes that!

"Um yeah.... Exactly she is a well educated girl. I think she can do this. She is a smart and an intelligent girl. And for this short period of her working time in our company she has earned a good heart from everyone." Callum said looking at me giving a assured smile. My nerves had got on to hell. Now I had the sudden gathered power to kill him on the spot.

Oh god! please! please! Refuse me.

I know others would not agree with this since I'm new to this company. 

Suddenly I felt a relief.

"Well.. What would be the opinion of the others?" Mr:Parker exclaimed looking over from the microphone at all th staff members. "Do you all agree with the idea of Mr:Smith?"

There was a stunned pause for a while.

Their heads turned here and there. Suddenly one of senior officers stood up and "Well.. we would like to give this opportunity for our young generation. I think she is the most suitable one for this. So we all agree with Mr:Smith..." He said looking at me. I just faked a smile as I was far beyond angry and nervous.

"Well.. Then here I announce Miss:Sian Anderson as the President of the Welfare Society from now on wards." There came a big applause... Mel,Gwen and Kelly whispered their wishes to me. After that, everything proceeded well including Callum as Secretary, Melissa and some other employees in some other posts. When the meeting was coming to an end the podium was replaced by Mr:Sydney Parker.

"Good Afternoon everyone! I'm really glad to be here again with you after a long time. I hope you all are satisfied and agreed with the decisions we have taken today." He paused for a while. "Well... Today I'm going to introduce an important person to you all. Sometimes you may know the person. He was working here two years ago and left abroad. Now again he has joined us. So I warmly welcome Mr:Leone Klester to our company again as the Head of Architects..." suddenly door to the Conference hall was open and there entered in the same person I met an hour ago when I was coming out of the washroom. My jaw dropped for a second.

Oh Gosh! This man!

"I'm really happy to see him again. I thought he would never be coming back. But at last he is back." Mel said clasping both of her hands together.

"You know him?" Both Gwen and me exclaimed at the same time.

"Yeah! He is one of close relatives of Parkers. He is an expert in architecture. Most of the companies wanted to drag him to their companies. But he went abroad. Now he is back again here. May be he has sharpened his talents and knowledge for these two years...  Wow! I can't believe. I can catch him again." Mel said blinking at us.

Crazy girl!

Few minutes later the meeting came to an end and we were treated with tea and coffee. And meanwhile my ears filled with the wishes from everyone including both Mr:Sydney Parker and Mr:Ethan Parker. They encouraged me a lot. Actually that made me happy.

But Mr:Peculiar! That's Impossible!

Then finally Callum crept towards three of us distracting himself from his business conversations.

As soon as he came I punched him hard on his stomach.

"Ouch! I didn't expect that kind of  thing. It was hurting." He said making a face, but with a chuckle. And Gwen, Mel and Kelly too burst into a loud laughter.

"Actually that must be told by me. What did you do Cal? I didn't expect it."

"Huh! I'm full of Surprises. Right?" He said again with a chortle.

"You...." I was raising my hand to punch him back, when I noticed a pair of eyes was staring at me and that made me pull my hand back. Mr:Peculiar was glaring at me over his cup of coffee, while taking a sip of it; pretended like he was keeping his attention on his business talk at the same time.

Doesn't he let me live peacefully at least with my friends? 

Dammit!

While we were having our sweet conversation Mel suddenly yelled and hugged somebody. That made our heads turn to that side. "Leo... You are back. I can't believe it." She shouted happily again.

"How you doing Melissa?" He asked.

"Fine" she said.

"Hi Callum!" He hugged Callum too. Then he turned towards me, Gwen and Kelly. "Who are these beautiful young ladies? Many things have been changed.. I think I have to get used to them, I guess.." he said spreading a smirk over his face....

"Oh! you have started again? Mel hit on his hand. "Well! This is Kelly Cameron, Gwen Houston and this is Sian Anderson." She introduced while snapping her hand towards each of us.

"Oh! Nice to meet you girls... You guys gonna have a great time with me." He said with a blink.

"You have not changed Leo.. Still the same." Mel said.

"That's me." Then he chuckled and turned to me " By the way...Sian.. The thing I told you today, has become true. Isn't it?"

"What?" I didn't get what he said.

"I mean 'The most beautiful lady of the day'...." He chortled.

"Huh!" I smiled.

"Everyone is talking about you. Right? You are the headline of their conversations." He said.

"I don't think so..." I said.

"I think she doesn't prefer to accept that..." Callum added looking at Leone.

"Hey wait! You guys met earlier?" Mel exclaimed.

"Yeah! Just a while ago." He said.

"Um yeah! Even I too noticed that." Gwen said looking at Leone whilst squeezing my hand from behind.

"Stop teasing." I mumbled only to her, not aloud to be heard by the others.

"See! she became the president of HWA.. So she is a big role today. Isn't she gonna throw a party for you guys? By the way Congratulations!" He said while extending his hand towards me.

"Thank you!"

"Ohoh.. Only a hand shaking? You don't give me a hug?" Much to my surprise, suddenly he gave me a bone crushing hug making my eyes grow wide and here the same scenario was happening again. That penetrating hazel eyes were still glued to me and killing me alive. I was feeling embarrassed and I distracted myself from the hug while averting my eyes away from him.

What the?

What has happened to this Mr:Peculiar?

Why is he looking at me like this?

"Hey!" I snapped out of my thoughts to a voice of a girl.

"Alex..." I turned back.

"Congrats Si..." When I was turning towards her, the drink in her hand spilt over my dress..

oh gosh!

"Ohoh I'm sorry.. I'm exremely sorry..."

"Oh never mind... I will wash it off..."

"Hey what happened?" Leone asked me.

"No just some drink was spilled. I'll get it washed. You guys enjoy. Excuse me."

Where's the washroom?

I came out of there looking for a washroom. Then something clung tightly on to my wrist. My eyes followed the same path to see long masculine fingers were clinging around my small wrist and next my eyes stuck on to the person behind me.

Mr:Peculiar!!!!

Then he came facing me still clasping my hand.. His eyes blazed with unreadable expressions. Then at once I was pinned against the nearest wall...

Oh God! What now?

I tried to escape, but he tugged me back against the wall.

"Don't just try to fly over the sky..!! Just because you have become the president of HWS, doesn't mean you are a big role now.. You know what, every action has a reaction.. You will literally witness the consequences... More you enjoy, more drive your live to hell. Because you are my maid-servant....!!! And you have just started to play with fire.... So you won't have an escape.... " The words burst out from him in an angry rush.

"I know it Mr:Parker... I know it more than anyone else... I never forget my past and even my present..." I said my each word wrenching to freed my wrist out of his iron grip.

"I don't wanna take anything deep into my mind and jump over joy.. Nothing will remain with us forever.. So I know my limits..." I didn't want to get myself held on or lend my ears to his each rude word every time he bursts out angrily or without any meaning at me.

I can't let him rule my life...

"Oh...!!" He lifted his brows up. "Now you have earned your guts to speak up against me Miss.Goofy... You think you are smart...??" He tightened his grip on my wrist and came closer to me. 

"How.dare.you..??" Next moment he stressed his words and in a blink, he spilled his hot steaming coffee on my wrist and next drops were split over my dress..

"Ouch...!!!" I gasped at the pain.

"Ops! Is it hurting???" He was giving that devilish smirk again at his victory...

Freaking smirk for a pain of a girl....

My wrist was stinging badly and my other hand just found it way towards my burning wrist. But he suddenly grasped it not giving me another chance to touch my burning hand to relieve my pain.

"Urghh..." Suddenly a moan escaped my lips... I pursed my bottom lip to hold back the next moan which was about to escape my lips.

His penetrating hazel eyes captured mine and gave me a long emotionless glare. Then again he came closer to me tilting his head.. Fear clutched at my heart. I closed my eyes trying to strive the tears threatened to fall off my eyes...

Because I don't wanna shed my tears in front of this freaking heartless man...

I whimpered silently holding up my pain... But now I couldn't hold back my tears anymore... Tears started to run down my reddened cheeks bursting into an unstoppable river. He dropped his gaze and distracted himself from me. His step jerked backward, but was stopped by something. Then his eyes traveled down to see I was having a tight fist of his cuff on his right hand unawares, due to the intolerable pain of my bruise he had caused on my wrist. I felt a mixture of my emotions gathered into my cheeks. It was a kind of anger mingled with regret. Suddenly I slid my hand off the fist... 

His eyes held so much err... 

No....I cannot read what it is....

He fixed his death glare at me for the last few minutes and stomped angrily out of there, leaving me cling on to his last words "I f****** hate you... Miss.Anderson." that really came from the bottom of his heart....

How can a man deal with the hatred this much?

My eyes traveled back to my wrist to see a red bruise was harshly left on my soft flesh.. I caressed it and went inside the washroom slamming the door shut behind me before I burst into another stream of tears.....
