"Aurie?" my name leaves his mouth and it feels like he had just given me permission to breathe right when he did that.
I hold my chest as I hyperventilate, which thankfully only lasts a couple of seconds of him watching.
I land on my ass and lift my knees so I can rest my head on them. I do not even know what is going through my mind right now. Now that Kaden is here, it feels like the battle is over. I would at least assume that Alpha Bale would not be shameless enough to come and snatch me with him watching!
"What's wrong?" I only realise he has taken a seat beside me when I hear his voice so close to me.
"Aurie?" he tries to exhume my face from my knees but I do not make it easy for him at all. I just keep catching my breath instead of answering him.
