Roses Point of View
"Rose! Did you hear what I just said? Your a millionaire!"
Alice's voice was coming from a long way away. Like she was at one end of a tunnel and I was standing on the other side.
"I think I prefer you choking on your bacon rather than silence." She stood up and cleared her plate. "Wow, you finished your breakfast, I don't think I've ever seen you do that before." She mused as she started to potter about.
The greasy breakfast was now sitting heavy in my stomach. I took some deep breaths to stop myself from seeing it in reverse.
"This money means you can do whatever you want, go back to school, to university. You can go wherever you want to in the world."
That got a reaction from me "I'm not going anywhere." I growled. Leaving Jackson was unthinkable.
