Rose's Point of View I opened my eyes, blinking in the late morning sun. It took me a while to figure out where I was - outside that was obvious enough - and why I was there. I rolled over on to my left-hand side and saw my picturesque little lake. It really was like something you would see on the front of a greetings card. A 'wish you were here' scrawled on the back. And then I turned onto my right side and my lovely lake was reduced to a muddy puddle surrounded by scrawny twigs. The sun was no more than a dim torch and the smooth stone surrounding my favorite place was a pile of jagged rocks.
