Why Did You Pick Me?

1112 Words
Amelia's POV He had his face pressed into my neck, kissing it all over, softly, multiple times. “You're so soft.” He groaned while I just stayed there, having the time of my life. “Are there cameras now? I mean the ones you made me sign a consent form for.” I was getting a little excited already. “Yes.” “Where?” He started pointing so I followed his finger. “Right there, there, and there.” “Nice angles.” I bit my lips and started reaching for the button of my shirt. He stopped me even though I could feel him harden beneath me. He was so hard, I wondered how he was holding up without pain. I felt pity for him, crazy. He looked like he wanted to pin me down and f**k me with anger, so why was he doing this? I was going to lose my mind soon. “I told you, right time.” “And when is that? I'm growing impatient. Then why do you have the camera's up?” He held me down and looked me dead in the eyes, one of the scariest I've ever seen him. He still confused me with his conflicting behaviors. “Before this week runs out, you would've gotten thoroughly f****d, you would run away from me.” I swallowed. The air was suddenly charged with something akin to fatal darkness. “Are you threatening me now?” “No. I work with facts and action. Enjoy every time you get to spend with me before then. Once I f**k you, things might change. I brought you here to hang out. Tell me about your dad.” “My dad?” “Yeah.” I was more bothered about what he meant by things changing. I knew he wouldn't tell me so I let it go. “Well, tell me something about Daniel.” “He's a cool dad? He's really cool, yeah.” “Is he cooler than me?” “Uh...I guess?” I saw a frown on his face. “That's not the answer I was hoping to get.” He sounded so down and so…hurt? “What were you expecting?” He's so strange sometimes. “To say I'm cooler.” “You're not jealous now, are you? That's my father.” I laughed awkwardly to hide the sudden air change again. He sounded serious. “Yeah, but I'm your daddy. I plan to do things a father will never be able to do for and to you.” I looked at the dynamics of this situation and couldn't help but wonder about this one thing, so I asked him. “Why did you pick me?” He certainly knew what I meant. I mean, he chased me and cornered me so here we are. He could have done that to any other woman. I was still straddling him, so he grabbed my chin and drew me closer. “You're enough for me. You'll be able to take me. I just know it.” “Why do you always speak like you're some sort of monster?” “Again, actions are better than words.” “Fine.” I resigned. I'll have to see how that goes. We spoke at length about my dad, Brittany, my mom. I just loved how attentive he was. This was such a nice hangout. He fed me as usual. He also took time to kiss me, his hand wrapped around my throat, his tongue finding its way to my soul the whole time. He kissed me a lot. God, he kissed me for what felt like hours at a time. This stupid crush is only growing at this point. It was soon time for me to leave so I got off him. “I got you your bags. Check them out, let me know if you like them. Got them myself while on my trip.” He pointed towards the dining table where two boxes sat pretty. I ran. The fact that he thought to get them himself was the nicest, most thoughtful thing. I opened them up, my smile wide. I never knew I was this materialistic. A limited edition bag. Another very expensive bag. Two of them totaling almost a million dollars. It was cool the first time. Doing it again? Overboard in my books. “So?” I felt him behind me, whispering into my ears. He wrapped his hands around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulders. “I love them so much. Thank you. I feel weird now. You keep gifting me. I feel useless as I've not been able to do anything for you in return.” He flipped me around to a smile that knocked my socks right off. I could never get used to this man smiling. “You won't feel useless for very long, baby girl. You will feel trapped, with no escape route. Don't worry, I promise you that.” My heart dropped to my stomach as he looked down at my very terrified face with all seriousness. “You're scaring me.” I admitted, my eyes literally shaking. That didn't stop him from scaring me further though. “You want to find out what it means to be useful to me, very well, but I will have you know that I'm a very strategic man, and I work with reasons. Within this week, you will try to run. And no, it's too late to back out of this arrangement.” It sounded too ridiculous for him to mean. “You're trying to scare me but it won't work.” I stated, still low-key shaky. He can be too intense. “Good girl. Let's take you home.” I shook my head. I already have dad treating me like a baby, Brittany being all over my business. Not Dane too. I would absolutely not take it from him as he's supposed to be better than them. Driving me home would suffocate me. But he just agreed with me. “No, I can get home by myself.” I carried my bags from his hands. “I know, you're a big girl. Say hello to your father for me.” I eyed him whilst smiling internally at his understanding. Yeah, it's clear that I like this man a little over how I'm supposed to at least like him, which is sick but I will navigate my way around and over it. “I will absolutely not be doing that, weirdo.” He's just dying to get us both in trouble at this point.
