That shadow expanded rapidly. In the blink of an eye, a massive eagle of prey swooped down from the sky. The gale it stirred up was so fierce I couldn't keep my eyes open. I didn't have time to rub them—just turned and stumbled blindly toward the cave, squinting against the wind. But it is too late. The giant eagle folded its wings mid-dive, plummeting like a jet-black spear. Its wingspan stretched ten meters across, and its three long, curved front talons spread into a triangular formation as it descended.
