I had finally finished, but this time there was only the silence that accompanied my words. I just stood there like an i***t waiting for whatever was coming next.
“Okay, now you can ask your questions," I encouraged, wanting to break the uncomfortable quiet.
“What do you mean you were chosen?" Julia asked finally.
With her quiet tone and down-cast eyes, I couldn't quite get a read on her mindset. My gut was yelling a warning at me to proceed cautiously.
“Avamarie came to me and told me I was chosen to stop this woman. That Avamarie had cast the spell that brought her to me, so I could save everyone. I don't know how much is true and I'm still fairly sure that it's a mistake but I'm willing to try," I explained.
“What do you mean you can save everyone? They can be saved?" Craig ask
