Damian’s POV:
Our wolves were ready to kill. Alpha Tobias and a few of his warriors had come to join us— and I was grateful for that. He was proving his allegiance to me, but he was also proving his loyalty to the kingdom. To his Queen, and that was the most important thing for me.
“On my signal,” I told them. They waited attentively.
They ran after me the moment I cued them with my head. It was time. My blood was boiling with rage. I had to hold my mate in my arms to stop the suffering.
The fucker was standing by the fireplace, adding wood to the ignited flames, when I broke the door open. He barely had time to shift. Kornell and Lenden went after him while I looked around for my mate. My vision was blurry with the rage consuming me.
I found her small body lying on an old bed.
