Chapter Ten
Valeriane.
My lungs tightened with fear, I was long gone from the front door. Despite being determined to find a way, my body locked instantly.
“You need to do this Val.” I mumbled the mantra against my lips, I stared at the guard from afar, his head turning around to make sure no one gets past him.
I let out a breath, my knees nearly gave out beneath me when I made my way toward him, after thinking of different ways to be able to get into the club, I figured there is only one way.
“You are back.” He mumbled angrily under his breath. “I am going to have to throw you out.”
My pulse spiked.
“No wait, I lost my bracelet, I was wearing it and now I’m not, just help me find it.” The lie rolled off my tongue so perfectly, I almost feared what I could be capable of doing.
